Keane is about as good as they could hope for as they couldn't hope to hang on to Stones

Re: Tarks
Keane isnt good enough to play for the teams that wins the Trophy's but he isn't in relegation scraps either and as you say he's playing for a bigger club with better players and that along with the financial rewards is what most players would want.
Offer any player the choice to play for Everton or Burnley on the same money and practically every player would choose Everton. Like I said his move has been a success and Im sure if you offered Tarks to swap places he'd bite your hand off
Now you can make up your own criteria of what is and isnt better but by practically everyone else's definition Everton is a step up from Burnley

Not a lot wrong with them, but on social media like many clubs, they have a section of deluded self entitled morons amongst them.
They've consistently targeted specific players instead of other problems like how the team was set up etc, see the Silva era for example when he utterly failed to organise his teams, same with Koeman.
We have the same problem here from time to time when a player is irrationally targeted, currently it's Brownhill, in the past its been several left backs, David Jones etc.

We will never know as we weren't in the room, but I reckon he already gets that after bonuses.
Just by dividing the 100m wage bill by the squad points at some players getting big wages.
100m provides 40 wages of 2.5m per year. 50k a week that's supposed to be our top wage?
No way 40 people are on the top wage.

Page 54 is interesting, showing that some fans don't have an issue with him, that his defensive partner let him down against Utd.
Or do you only want the ones that go with your agenda?

Re: Tarks
Thats a thread started after a game where he made a howler, a third of that thread is that weekend with fans still annoyed at that one performance.
The thread has around 750 posts in total and when you allow for the people going back and forth with each other you'll be lucky if it covers 300 individual fans of which some are positive.
Id put it down to just a nice sample of social media clowns like you are proving to be tonight than some kind of infallible evidence of him being hated by Everton fans.
Keep trying though cos even a broken clocks right some of the time (if only very briefly)

Re: Tarks
Why don’t we ask him what his ambitions, hopes etc are?
In fact a player feature once a month might help us get a better insight into their mindset.
Editor: I’d be happy to do the first interview, and let’s make the first one with JT.

Re: Tarks
I didn't scroll the whole lot, just skipped to the most recent, you just took what was available hoping no one else would check.
Your intense dislike of him is legendary on here, and hilarious, you even fail with the claim the Everton fanbase all dislike him because they quite simply don't.
Just get over it and stop behaving like he's rejected your affection at some point.

Re: Tarks
Not sure why JT would even contemplate a move in Jan, unless maybe to one of the top six clubs giving him a chance of honours and europe this season
It would be his decision alone to maybe move in Jan
As far as BFC is concerned, he holds all the cards so we can't force any transfer on him
I doubt he would even think about joining Newcastle given their position is similar to our own at the moment
Seems logical to me that he stays and runs down his contract
He is then open to all offers
And those offers do not just include wages, but also a substantial signing on fee
If he were to double his current wages with another club, and gets a sign on fee of say £6-8m, we would have to triple his wages (over around 3 years) and I can't see us doing that
If he does moves in Jan, he loses the option of any sign on money, although maybe players are still entitled to a certain percentage of any transfer fee if they move whilst under contract
We can't offer him any certainty of Prem football next season so add that to the loss of additional sign on fees, and he is not going to sign for us any time this season
I've also said before that Ben Mee is in a similar situation - ok maybe not being considered by so many other clubs, but given our current performances and threat of relegation, I would be surprised if he signed any new contract this season

Newcastle v Tottenham (16:30 BST) From BBC
There has been a lot said about what Newcastle plan to do in the future, following their takeover by the Saudi Arabian-backed Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Infrastructure, a new manager, mega-star players (I've seen James Tarkowski linked) many, many trophies and the rest.
They really need to focus on the present right now, though. Currently in the Premier League's bottom three and without a win to their name in this league season, they could do with getting some points on the board ASAP. Otherwise, Kylian Mbappe could be turning out for them at Blackpool and Millwall next season.

Re: Tarks
Hence why I anticipate NUFC making 'to good to refuse' offers for the few decent players likely to be available in January, along with similar to their clubs to make them available; Burnley/JT might be a difficult one to get through though: As things stand, Newcastle are one of those sides we really need to be finishing above so letting JT go there would not be in our best interests, then again, if they don't get JT, they'll get someone else instead and still likely build a strong enough side to finish above us. From JT's point of few - presuming that it is a chance at Europe/silverware that he's chasing and not just the paycheck - then Newcastle may become a dead end for him; he goes in January and helps them stay in the Prem, but when they subsequently spend mega-bucks next summer, he perhaps finds himself dropping to 3rd, 4th,or 5th choice at centreback?karatekid wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 4:15 pm...They really need to focus on the present right now, though. Tarks will leave, I will wish him well and thank him for all his done for us… and then smirk if he’s being payed what he wants but struggles in a team where he is not a big fish.
