Can't rate as I wasn't there.
A step up from last week but didn't think he had a good game.
Missed a clear fk on Cork in the build up to their second, got in the way, broke up our play, wasn't good at playing advantage and generally favoured the home side.

I thought he should have given a red for the two footed challenge on McNeil the guy had both feet off the ground

That fk miss on Jack, as already mentioned, was poor.
But after that abysmal showing by Friend, it was a huge improvement.

Re: RATE THE REF - Martin Atkinson v Manchester City
A blind man on a galloping horse would have seen the advantage when Laporte took McNeil down with a really poor tackle. Laporte rightly booked for that (might have been a harsh red on another day). Then Laporte put two hands in Matty Lowton's face and a bit of a shove which should have warranted another yellow (or a debatable red again). Shocking from the ref throughout that whole incident.
Also thought there looked to be a shout for a penalty when Wood got the ball before being cleaned out by the keeper but would have to see that again to be sure.
Poor but in favour of the more popular team so it won't get the attention it would if Man City were on the wrong end of those decisions.

View at the Etihad must have been far worse than on tv. Even the comms said it was a terrible non use of the advantage rule when Dwight was taken out by Laporte. If ref was only giving yellow he should have played advantage or stop play if it was a ref.

I was hoping that wood was offside when he stopped it otherwise it was unforgivable!
