Jack Cork

Special mention to Cork yesterday. That is most organised and composed I have seen Burnley in a long time.

His experience and leadership in the middle of the park is critical for this team this season.

Let me guess, needs to start next weekend ahead of Brownhill?

Brownhill can play just not in CM. Think Cork and Westwood are the best pair. I think we have better structure with Brownhills legs on the right

Personally I think we are a proper attacking midfielder or a number 10 off having a great 451/433 set up

You could see signs of that yesterday, and with Taylor and Roberts adding some attacking width and quality, it should work well, as we won't be facing Man City every week.

Agree just a shame we couldn’t add that ‘number 10’ in summer. Looking forward to seeing Roberts though Taylor really needs to drastically improve his final ball in order to become an attacking threat.

He is our best central midfielder by a distance. Was delighted to see him back in the starting 11 yesterday. Our performance was more composed as a result

No. Play all three midfielders together. We need a new younger version of Cork actually

Certainly worth sticking with 4-5-1 then?

Must be a different Taylor to what I have seen?

The lad can’t cross for toffee. Lb is one of our worst positions.

I think we certainly looked sturdier, not conceding is how we are going to stay up this season.

The problem with 451 is we look toothless.
Our problem this season has been Sean's failure to switch to 451 after we have taken a lead and started to tire.
Like most teams we need to mix it up a lot more, and our current squad is the best we've had to do that.
We need to start 442 against the likes of Southampton, save the 451 for City and Liverpool, but use it to hang on to leads.

It's frustrating that our football this season has been some of the best, and most consistent, we've played in the Prem, yet our lack of goals, and that pinch of luck are costing us dearly.
