A good insight in the studio from David Ginola regarding his experiences, I knew he was taken ill before, but didn't realise his heart had stopped for 12 minutes and he had 5 broken bones due to the pressure you need to use when doing CPR.

Also I didn't know if you see someone experience this you don't do mouth to mouth, you should go straight into the compressions.

The players back on the pitch and it seems like the person has been removed from the ground and taken to hospital.

3-1 but far important is the news that the supporter who needed medical treatment has been stabilised

Luckily the RVI Hospital is almost next door. Hoping the person is okay.

Ginola spoke absolutely brilliantly there, delivering a very calm but poignant message about CPR.

Defibrillators should be available 24/7 in every community in the country. Out of hospital cardiac arrest without defibrillator and there's very little chance of survival.

I spent four and a half weeks in the RVI in 2009, and from one of the rooms I was in I could see the big stand at St. James Park ( not that that did much to aid my recovery!).

And I agree on Ginola. Thoughtful, sensible and compassionate remarks.

This is the website for the UK Resuscitation Council. It's an excellent resource for both the public and professionals. It has some excellent videos explaining what to do in an emergency, which really, can be broken down into some very simple elements. You never know when it might come in handy. One thing is very clear when it comes to adult CPR; early chest compressions is hugely important in improving outcomes.

It’s difficult to concentrate on the football now but Spurs by far the more likely

If nothing else it shows the new owners the size of the job they've taken on.

Players like Shelvey will be shipped out within the next year or 2, along with many others because they're just well below the level needed.

disgraceful treatment of ''one of their own'', kept them up last year with limited resources, not sure what exactly they expect??? even if they want Bruce out, what a disgusting way to treat him during the game.

Finished 3-2 Spurs, despite that frantic finale a deserved 3 points for the visitors.

Newcastle may well still find themselves in a relegation battle even with all this new investment.

When the takeovers took place at both Man City and Chelsea they both had a good foundation to build from.

Who'd want to risk a relegation on their CV to manage Newcastle?

It should really be taught more, maybe an advert type quick thing.

Didn't they have the advertising campaign a while ago with Vinnie Jones?

Yeah and they used Staying Alive by the Bee Gees as the perfect beat/tempo for the compressions.

City and Chelsea also had a good core of PL players, and they were both huge clubs even prior to the takeovers.

Good question regarding any potential managers, will the truly top managers really fancy a year slumming it in the Champ.

It's all well and good having a bottomless pit of money, but that alone guarantees nothing as many clubs have shown throughout the history of the game.

You could equally ask the same :?: regarding any new players joining Newcastle, will they really want to waste a year of their careers visiting places like Blackpool and Millwall. I somehow have my doubts.

Realistically, I don't expect that to happen unless they get Solskjaer in. The supporters made it quite clear they don't want him. Perfectly entitled to make their feelings known as they paid to watch that 'horror show ' today. Not my words but my Geordie relative I watched it with. Was extremely poor though. New players, new manager, new ideas.should keep them afloat.

Would be good if they bring in too many players and it ends up like Fulham with too many changes too quickly.

I don’t think they are any better than we are being honest. There front two are great players not so certain on the rest.Don’t think Bruce as done that bad he’s kept them up with no money he was up against it from the start they hate him regardless. But of luck there form continues till January and it’s to late to buy there way out of trouble.
