Tom Barkhuizen
I saw this article earlier, I have to say, what a refreshingly honest outlook on what’s really important.
(FYI - Utterly irrelevant to Burnley, I just found it such a surprising interview with a footballer talking about his contract being up for renewal and not being in a rush to sign a new one).

Re: Tom Barkhuizen
Don't think I've ever seen such a frank interview from a player in the last year of his contract. Reading between the lines I get the impression he's had enough at Preston but he's had a few bad weeks with illness and the loss of his dog.

Re: Tom Barkhuizen
He mentions money a lot... funny that for someone saying that's not what its about.
Sounds like another 2 bit footballer talking absolute shite. If you wanna move love, just move. What a load of drama.

I know a lot of his family and from what I can gather he is hoping Blackpool come up with something decent for him, being his hometown club.

He’s rapid this lad, well according to Fifa 22 anyway they have him the 12th fastest player in the world.

Re: Tom Barkhuizen
Sounds incredibly ungrateful, might not have been the best thing to put out there, has he got an agent?

That bloke in the comments section “it’s up to you Tom, you’ve got a choice, I’ve HAD to be a PNE fan for 60 years.”
Imagine being a Preston fan for 60 years. Jesus. What a waste of time. That’s depressing just thinking about it.

Re: Tom Barkhuizen
Only just realised, his discussion on his contract was probably the least frank bit of his interview. His thoughts on Preston, his new manager, the style of football at the club and Covid 19 are probably even more brutal.

Re: Tom Barkhuizen
Exactly the kind of personality managers won't want to work with. Not done himself any favours there.

Really I would say nearer 23 'ish in terms of speed/acceleration on average , certainly I was quicker then than in my late 20's.PadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 2:18 pmYes 94 speed he has got.
Your at your prime physically at 28.
