Don't think we've ever done them in the Premier League but I'm sure they are going to have to look at it with the falling attendances.

It'd make sense... especially this year (and the fact there may be the odd few who are more comfortable going than at the start of the season)

Re: Half season tickets?
Agreed, but you would think they would be available every season. Not many other businesses out there that take a call from a customer regarding something they have for sale and tell them sorry come back in May.

Well yeah...I can't imagine it'd be the most difficult thing to adminsterclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:32 pmAgreed, but you would think they would be available every season. Re: Half season tickets?
Half season tickets are a very good idea.
Dropping the match day price to £20 adults and £10 concessions 3 hours before kick-off is also a very good idea.
btw I wonder if Alan Pace is monitoring how many calls to the ticket office go unanswered?

Re: Half season tick
The NHS chief is warning that there will need to be another lockdown…. The Government saying we’re going to try to avoid it… expect another lockdown later. As this becomes more debated those in charge of ticketing may decide against 1/2 season tickets purely on the grounds of the confusion that they could cause if further refunds are needed.
It is having an effect… it looks increasingly like my Masters will be delayed because of it for twelve months.

I can't see the public allowing another lockdown. With furlough gone and the 20 quid a week UC uplift gone. People aren't being paid to stay home anymore.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:54 pmThe NHS chief is warning that there will need to be another lockdown…. Re: Half season tickets?
Not sure they are going to do half price season tickets.
There is a seat almost in front of me where 4 of us sit together in the JH Upper tier that's not been used for ages.
I rang the ticket office dozens of times then actually got an answer. I asked if anyone had the seat and the answer was no, so I asked if I could purchase a season ticket for my 15 year old daughter so she could sit just in front of me. At this point we had only played 3 home games this season and I said I would pay for the full season (junior membership) even though we were 3 games in. I was told it wasn't possible and that half price season tickets were not being introduced, but I could pay for the seat each week by ringing and booking it, at £25 per match. Needless to say I didn't take up that option and once again was left wondering if BFC will ever drag itself into the 21st century. I very much doubt it.

It's not as if it's a new problem. The ticket office not answering the phone has been an issue for years.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 3:12 pmOr monitoring how he’s allowed the staffing levels to reduce to a level that there’s no one to answer calls

Re: Half season tickets?
I think the telephone sales had a different group dealing with it, that's gone to the ticket office now. I've been in there when phones are ringing but there's just no one available to answer them.

Re: Half season tickets?
I went in the other week for Leicester tickets and nobody was manning the desks. A guy came out and said they will be with me shortly. Only a 2 to 3 minute wait but you have to wonder if they're doubling up jobs for the ticket office staff?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:11 pmI think the telephone sales had a different group dealing with it, that's gone to the ticket office now. Re: Half season tickets?
The way forward is to minimise telephone calls by ensuring that buying tickets online is extremely easy and that the software is free from any irritating glitches.
Can I also ask: Is the software being developed (at this moment in time) to automatically ask the question ‘do you have a credit account with the club?’ for those who have sold their shares.

Re: Half season tickets?
That's how it is but if you are on the other end of the phone it is easy to believe they are just not answering you when that's far from the case.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:18 pmI went in the other week for Leicester tickets and nobody was manning the desks. Re: Half season tickets?
You might get more people wanting to sell rather than buy at the seasons halfway point the way things are going at the minute

Didn’t know BFC offered a buyback option after nine games?Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 5:27 pmYou might get more people wanting to sell rather than buy at the seasons halfway point the way things are going at the minute
Re: Half season tickets?
In which case a message of some sort wouldn't go amiss or putting calls into a queuing system telling people where they are in the queue would be customer friendly.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:11 pmI think the telephone sales had a different group dealing with it, that's gone to the ticket office now. This is where communal offices breakdown. No-one is directly responsible so no one is held to account.

Mr Pace is in charge, so he should accept responsibility for the very poor situation and for sorting it out.

Re: Half season tickets?
The lads on my row have a half season ticket. They turn up late every game, leave early to get a pint at half time, come back late for the second half before leaving early to get in the pub.
“No, don’t worry lads, you crack on making the entire row get up and down all bloody game. Oh, and the words you are looking for are ‘excuse’ and ‘me’.”
Not that it winds me up or anything.
