What’s the deal with ninos? Is it shut for good? Drove past earlier and thought it’s starting to get a bit run down outside.

Did the low hygiene rating it got finish it off?

Been shut for quite a long time Red Fox..No idea why it closed as it always seemed to be very busy. Perhaps it was a casualty of the Covid lockdowns.

It seemed to get quieter and quieter then almost dead once the abysmal hygiene rating was published. Final nail seems to have been Covid. Can't say it's a loss, found it more style over substance tbh

Nice building but always thought the Ninos in Rawtenstall was miles better for food.

Sad to see it close, used to like a Saturday night out up there.

I never had a problem with the food and understand that the low hygiene rating was due to the poor clerical side, as opposed to actual hygiene, but I might be wrong.

You'll find a lot of the staff at Ballero's or Astoria now. I think Nino's suffered when they started to have the cheap cocktail evenings and attracted a different type of crowd, then the local run rate business dried up. Alex also struggled to find a decent chef, there were a few personal issues rumoured, COVID hit and then it was hard to get it back up and running. I believe that the owner is still living on site, but no one seems sure about what is going to happen moving forward. Remember that A'Vucciria in 'Stall is still owned by the same people.

I used to quite enjoy it when they had a singer/band on later

A’Vucciria is Ninos owners son.

Edit: Claret Wizard already says that.

It's a beautiful place is A'Vucciria, maybe they are concentrating more on that than the Cliviger place.
