Maybe done with a view to a squad appearance on Wednesday?

I think this scoreline is harsh given the way we’ve played but they’ve taken their chances when they were on top.

Ya after the Arsenal PL game you'd expect all our defenders would have that drilled into 'em.

U23's seem plagued the same way the seniors are at the mo.
Can't score enough....even from the spot.

Shame at the end. Thompson is usually so reliable from the spot.

Don’t agree with that. Everton had got on top before that.

Certainly not disgraced and kept going to the end. It was a cracking free kick that set them on their way, most importantly, they scored when they were on top and that is always a bonus.

But he was our best player, and certainly not responsible for Everton's improvement.
Unfortunately Thompson, who replaced him, gave away the free-kick from which they scored.

Until recently Thompson has been reliable from the spot.
In think he's missed his last 2.

He was our best player when we were on top but he'd faded from the game and, in any case, this is development football.

Maybe, but he definitely carried our best threat.
I think we could have done with a change up top, perhaps someone who could play with his back to goal, not sure we have that player at present.

The team has six strikers but one is out on loan and three others are injured.

One thing with Tucker is he does tend to play his best football in the first half of games and then fades, as he did tonight. Seemed just right to get Thompson on for him but it wasn't to be his night against his former club.

A very fair summary.
