Optician Recommendation Burnley Pendle area

Post by BleedingClaret » Mon Oct 25, 2021 2:07 pm

Hi,
It's my time now, 54, eyes giving up.
I've been wearing cheapo's for reading and computer related work.
Need a proper eye test now, overdue I know, any recommendations for good opticians in and around Burnley, Pendle areas

My wife and I use the "Boots Opticians" in Skipton, I tried Specsavers around 15 years ago and wasn't impressed ... but Boots have been excellent ... they have branches all over.

Browns on St James Street. Not the cheapest but very professional service.

Funny that I was struggling to see the humour in that

I am 250 miles away and retired, apart from that I'd recommend me 😅😅. It really does depend on the actual person or people you deal with. The problem with the multiples like Boots and Specsavers is that you are unlikely so see the same people as someone else. You will get more personal attention from an independent, but you will pay more

Also recommend Browns. It’s who I use.

My family have been going to Browns for 25+years.

My wife was also sent there for an appointment for a certain test by NHS, as they had the required equipment that her own opticians did not have.
