Like for Roberts to get 30 mins in, Basher for last 30 too.

Rest for Cornet, Wood and McNeil.
Wouldn't use them at all regardless of score

I think the only clues Sean Dyche has given are that Roberts and Mee are likely to play while Cornet isn't.

Hope we have a good team out

Our home form is now getting to the stage where we need a win against decent opposition asap, and I'd play as close to a first team as possible in this one

Jay, Mee, Roberts & Vydra all need minutes, and Cornet, McNeil and Wood all need a break.

We’re ‘criminally’ short of ‘reasonable quality’ backup players in central midfield - who is responsible?

Opportunity to experiment, winning against Rochdale didn't kick start our season so see little to gain from progressing further

Hennessey
Roberts Thomas Collins Mee Pieters
Westwood Brownhill
Vydra Jay Cornet

Get a young lad or 2 on the bench like Glennon, Dodgson, Tucker or Mellon who can get 5 or 10 at the end of the game.

Never going to happen, I know.

I think we desperately need Wood to get a goal to try and build confidence. If he requires rest - then Jay.

After watching the U23s last night I would not be against giving either Dodgson or Tucker some game time.

I would personally go as full strength as possible. Winning games, especially against strong teams helps with confidence and the mentality of the group going into the next game. We need a spark, this could be it.

Sadly I’d imagine no Cornet -Dwight which would be a shame as we’ve a real chance with a strong line up ,though 45 mins would be good with them involved

Hennesey
Roberts

Mee
Pieters
Lennon
Brownhill
Westward
JBG
Vydra
Jayrod

However perhaps we should try giving one of the younger players a place instead of Westward

Can't believe how many people appear happy to throw a very winnable last 16 cup game, just to survive in the Prem. It's no wonder so many of our fans have lost interest.

Press Conference (from BBC) Burnley manager Sean Dyche:

"We had to tough it out at Newcastle in the last round and it went to penalties. Tottenham is a different prospect, they have some fantastic players, they're a great outfit and I'm sure they will make some changes too, but our main focus is on us.

"We've got to use the cup games to find time for players to get a bit of fitness and sharpness, but we want to put out a team they can win and it's a fine line.

"We are well aware of the importance of the league programme, but it's still nice to do well in these trophies and we can do, we have made progress through two rounds, we will take the game on."

Looks like even with the slight price increase, they'll be far more on than against Rochdale, however half term for schools will have no doubt made a big difference to the gate.

Hopefully a good performance and/or a good result may see a few more attend the coming games, or least the cup competitions where prices have been reasonable for our current local economy issues.

Playing the kids and leaving out McNeil and Cornet would basically be throwing the game.

Ah so you are saying that people have lost interest based on what the team might be by a handful of people on a forum ?

Let's put it this way. Given our dire league position, it would be no surprise at all if Sean picks a very weak team and looks after the first team regulars before Saturday.

Personally, I'd like to give it a real go tomorrow and try to get to the next round. After all Spurs are hardly in top form themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cornet play from the satart, after all, he's hasn't had much football this season as yet.

Think you might be the only one who wouldn't be surprised if he picked a really weak team (whatever that means)

It sounds like there's going to be a half decent crowd on tomorrow, how about trying to win the game and get a bit of feel good factor/confidence back?
Same team as Saturday for me, apart from Hennessey in for Pope and Roberts in for Lowton if he's fit enough.

Brentford is 1000 times more important
Hennessey
Bardo Long Thomas Pieters
JBG Cork someone from the u23's Lennon
Barnes Jay

Bench - under 23's

I'll take a fluky undeserved 1-0 win over Brentford over beating Spurs any day

Pick any 2 from our 4 midfielders but if Stephens fit give him a run out. Could also play Barnes for either of the two strikers but Id rather see Jay and Vydra

If we manage to get through this round then we take it seriously with Wembley in sight
