League Cup tonight - 26 Oct
Fair play to the biggest club in the world, their fans have taken a big following down to Arsenal. Hard to know who I want to win……

Arsenal 2-0 Leeds
Chelsea 1-1 Southampton (Penalties to be taken)
QPR 0-0 Sunderland in the 96th min, so pens probably to be taken.

I wonder if Arteta will be blaming the length of the grass for his players constantly over running the ball?

QPR goal earlier disallowed for offside, close call.

Wow! This is the problem when officials rely on VAR, and then don’t have it to save them….

It’s tight, and you don’t like to see them chalked off, but I think under the new interpretation that was the correct decision.

Nope these errors were made before VAR and was why some people wanted VAR. The grass is always greener some might saybox_of_frogs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:09 pmWow! This is the problem when officials rely on VAR, and then don’t have it to save them….

After the header clear it was played back by player who was offside initially

Even though the player was offside during the cross, he got back onside as the clearing header was made. I'm not sure the linesman flagged for that incident, rather it was for the goal passage of play. Unsure though as I can't find any reporting on that other than the Austin header.

Peter Walton would have his work cut out agreeing with that one.
He’d find a way though.

Re: League Cup tonight - 26 Oct
He's offside when the ball is played, but the ball is then deliberately played by an opposition player, so just like the Mbappe goal for France against Spain the other week, he has to be onside.
