Have they given any reason for online only sales?

Back to not telling us how many tickets we have either!
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Think it's safe to assume we've only taken the lower tier. Not sure why it needs to be a secret though!Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 6:16 pmBack to not telling us how many tickets we have either!

Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Can’t see us taking many at all to this one. Both accy clarets and the supporters club are not booking anymore coaches and have sold out so if anyone wants to go now it is a struggle. Are we the only club where the club don’t put any coaches on themselves? I don’t mean any disrespect to the supporters club but I feel all coaches selling out a month before the game could be a reason why our recent away followings have not been great. Unless you can commit to going to a game over a month before it happens then you have no chance of getting on a coach. Not everyone has lives where they can commit that early, I know for the people at the supporters clubs who have 9-5 jobs or are retired this may be difficult to grasp, but jobs and lives these days are not that always that simple. Not everyone drives and the train is a very, very expensive option as well. I feel if the club put coaches on they could be more flexible and book extra coaches if all coaches sold out a month before the game. Seems bonkers really.

Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Think we'll take a fair following. We (Accy) have 3 coaches fully booked. But as you say the lack of transport options is certainly likely to be a factor in our reduced followings. To most games there's generally just 3 supporters clubs running coaches (Supporters Club (who just run 1), Boundary (who normally just run 1) and Accy (who run up to 4, depending on demand and if we can get people to staff them). In addition for certain games there's Rossendale, Central Lancs and Earby. The club did try running coaches when we first got to the PL but they soon discontinued those as people just weren't booking with them and they were running to places like London with about 10 people on.thelaughingclaret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:21 pmCan’t see us taking many at all to this one. Train from Manchester to Birmingham currently £29
Obviously you'll need a £5 bus return or £11 train return from Burnley to Manchester unless you can get enough in a mini bus/lif there.
Thought thst was quite reasonable.
Just had to shell out £50 for Newcastle yesterday, quite steep considering.

When I looked it was 31 for Newcastle (booking singles) and 42 the cheapest to Birmingham from Manchester. Without a train card.MACCA wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 9:08 amTrain from Manchester to Birmingham currently £29

I was going to ask why train travel to Birmingham is more expensive than others? Even dearer from Preston.

Shame you can't workout how many we have sold by your order number anymore. Used to give an indication of how many had been bought before you.
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Click the small ‘i’ icon and you then get the information on the second photo. I take the SEAT number as the amount sold and has seemed accurate in relation to the time I have bought them upon release for the away games I have been to this season.1989_claret wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 1:45 pmShame you can't workout how many we have sold by your order number anymore. Fantastic, thank you. Looking at mine we had sold 150 before i purchased.
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Is that the actual no. of tickets sold or the number of transactions? Ie is the 592 above 1 ticket or 1 transaction for 6 tickets?1989_claret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 9:19 amFantastic, thank you. Looking at mine we had sold 150 before i purchased.

Each ticket of the 6 I bought had a separate number.

I count Watford as near from Salisbury!
The crap motorway journey, to Burnley and back, every other week can be gruelling.

Another game to make it to general sale, all those who can't take their kids to away games due to the unfair loyalty point system used must not know about every away game this season.
Looks like it might be Brentford away where demand will be high before a new points system is demanded.

Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
So can I simply go down to the ticket office today and pick up 5 Villa tickets regardless of who they are for and whether they have a season ticket or not?
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Haven't read all the posts above but does anyone know if as usual the lower tier will be filled first before tickets will be sold for the upper tier please.
I am not a season ticket holder this season but it still states:
"In order to purchase your selected product, Aston Villa Vs Burnley, other products need to have been processed to meet the eligibility criteria. You must have Season Ticket 2021-2022. You will need to reallocate these items to another customer and update your basket."
Which is contrary to what it says in Tony's opening post in terms of having to be a current season ticket holder.

Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
I’m doing Wolves and Villa, I’ve finally become a proper Burnley fan again after 4-5 years of being part time
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
South African clarets who are based in Coventry need 2 tickets and as of yet I've always bought their tickets for them so they've no clarets numbers and aren't linked to my account.
I simply want 5 tickets, I thought going down and getting 5 when on general sale would be as easy as it gets in terms if transactions.
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
You would think so. Ticketing generally needs to be made easier and more accessible.MACCA wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 8:37 amSouth African clarets who are based in Coventry need 2 tickets and as of yet I've always bought their tickets for them so they've no clarets numbers and aren't linked to my account.

Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
I am a season ticket holder, when I got my Villa ticket on Wednesday the system told me the same as you mention above, to allocate to someone else. I thought that was very strange as I met all requirements.
So I continued with the transaction regardless and everything went through as it normally does.
Maybe just ignore the statement and try to continue with your purchase?
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
In the past once it got to general sale with one clarets number you could basically buy as many as you wanted.
Re: 2021/22: Aston Villa v Burnley – Ticket Information
Thanks both my only other concern is should I wait to see if the lower tier is filled first as I fancy being in the upper tier for a change.

I'll get on with that now then, I've only 3 season cards so that's now possible.

Has anyone actually received their Villa tickets? I ordered mine on Monday and they usually arrive by post within a couple of days but nothing received as yet. Should I be worried?
