In a bid to rediscover why I love going to the football, I'm going to start going to some non league games at my local stadium. Its great we're in the Premier league, but I find it all a bit sterile and corporate going on a match.
Does anyone else go to non league games? If so, which team and why do you like it.

Watched Wealdstone get hammered by stockport county today. Stockport brought about 500 too. I’m just beginning to thaw out.

I go and watch Altrincham fairly regularly. I like standing on the terrace behind the goal as the atmosphere is excellent.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 6:15 pmIn a bid to rediscover why I love going to the football, I'm going to start going to some non league games at my local stadium. Used to be able to have a pint watching too until they got promoted. So now have to enjoy the pints of Verdant and Pomona Island at half time.

Occasionally go to Boreham Wood and Barnet, it just feels more real somehow, more like the game I remember growing up. Not being a supporter of either it makes just watching the game in front of you easier to enjoy.
It's great that Burnley are in the top tier after so many years of struggle and the journey up has been brilliant, constantly being in danger of relegation doesn't make it enjoyable though.
