Burnley Cricket Club
Burnley CC must have made a fortune today. It was full of Spurs fans. £7 for parking, no refunds as staff had to be paid. No usual special offer of £2 pints after the game because there was no game !! Many Spurs fans just carried on drinking at normal prices because you couldn't get out of the car park anyway. And all will be charged £7 again when the game is replayed.

Re: Burnley Cricket Club
And the Spurs fans have to fork all that out for effectively nothing.
The big loser here today is football fans.

Re: Burnley Cricket Club
I'm not entirely sure that paying £7 to park ,then drinking all afternoon in the cricket club is the best plan tbh. I'm not "old Bill" or owt , but.....

That would have saved them £5.50 on the pie, chips and peas in the cricket club !!Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 6:25 pmSpurs fans got free pies if they went in the ground.

When you’re used To paying 6 quid for a shandy you will make the most of £2.50 for proper beer

Same in Manchester and Leeds now. Decent pint in a decent city centre pub is over £6 nowadays

Re: Burnley Cricket Club
When we went to Tottenham's new stadium as I remember a pint of the very good local brew, Neck Oil by Beavertown Brewery, was £5. This represented a significant discount as it's been well over £6 in pubs down here for some time.

Would you have had them sat in the stands till today if it hadn’t stopped snowing? At the risk of sounding a tad critical you’re getting boring now.
