Was I seeing things there or did Forshaw take the corner then Raphinha picked it up then took it? He nudged it forward.

Why did the Palace player get booked for handball but not the Norwich player?

How can that be deliberate? Ball traveled about 1 foot from Coopers head

Clear pen but Ward giving the corner away was the problem. Easy header and he blewit.

The header was probably on target. Hence the booking.

Did it glance off Coopers head? If it did, no penalty for me.

Shows how unlucky we’ve been. We’ve performed miles better than this Leeds side this season. Christ, we’re below Norwich and we’ve looked like a team in a division above them.

Exactly! certainly not with those officials anyway, crikey Vydra got clearly punched in the head by Tim Krul and we still weren't awarded a pen by our friend Kevin.

Re: Tonight's Games
A bad result for us, but as others have said, we need to be winning games not relying on others. We’ve won only one game and have been very unlucky at times, but games like the 0-0 against Norwich and throwing away countless leads leave us in this position.
As I said on another thread, we’re a couple of weeks from being potentially cut adrift. When it gets to six points (plus GD), you begin to look like Fulham last season - always close to getting out, but never quite getting there. We really need to be looking at picking up three points at least in the next two games. I don’t think another couple of draws are going to do us much good. We need to translate the generally good play into wins.

Re: Tonight's Games
We’ve had two good chances to score last minute winners in our last 2 games and not taken them.
We all know we should have more points on the board than we’ve got, but the fact is we haven’t!!!

No indeed it shouldn't, they say that these decisions even themselves out over the course of a season, well let's hope that's true and we start getting some breaks soon with the key calls.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 10:22 pmthe irony that it was Simon Hooper as VAR tonight shouldn't be lost either

Sadly the teams who have been hovering above the relegation three (Watford, Leeds, Villa, Brentford, Palace) all capable of winning games). We and Newcastle struggling to get 3 points

Re: Tonight's Games
Fair comments and I'd say we need 4 points from the next 2 to avoid potentially getting cast some way behind, even better if the win was to come at Newcastle, but beggars can't be choosers, and we'll gladly accept any wins which we can muster right now.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 10:22 pmA bad result for us, but as others have said, we need to be winning games not relying on others. The current bottom 3 despite picking up points just can't seem to close the gap on the sides above them yet, now it's clearly far too early to panic, but 3 points tomorrow would be a huge boost to everyone of a Burnley persuasion.

I fully believe we have it in us to finish above Brentford and Watford (and certainly Norwich and Newcastle). The games against those teams will be crucial. I have seen Brentford a few times now and they strike me as a team that will run out of steam and slowly trickle down the table, very limited ability. Watford are capable of incredible results and horrendous ones in equal measure - unpredictable. They have some bad injuries right now so hopefully they start to tumble themselves.

Re: Tonight's Games
Cos he used to be pretty good and his record in a poor Aston Villa team was virtually 1 in 2. His record for Belgium isnt bad either and despite being rubbish now he still hit double figures in the Prem league last season and was only 2 goals behind Chris Wood
Re: Tonight's Games
The gap widens with Weeds winning.
But we know we have to start winning some games.
The sooner the better.
So 4 points from our next two and we'll all be feeling a lot more optimistic.
Lose both and we'll be bottom and 4 or 5 points adrift.

Sickening really the way Brentford and Leeds have both picked up 3 points this week simply because of idiotic decisions by opposition players gifting them penalties.

Sport is a lot to do with physcology too. Don't forget there will be half a dozen other clubs looking over their shoulders at us saying " Burnley can put a run together, they have been here before etc".
It's going to be as exciting at the bottom, as it will be at the top this year and it really could go to the last game or two..

I know we've only got ourselves to blame for the position we are in, but I've seen Leeds scab a late win after being very average and just wonder when we are going to get that bit of the rub this season
