Pope 8 Solid
Lowton 8 Solid
Collins 9 Looks like a superstar developing...
Mee 8 Solid
Taylor 8 Solid, very good player.
Gudmundsson 6 Decent moments in the 1st half, faded badly
Cork 7 Some very good moments.
Brownhill 7 Must be an absolute nightmare to play against, proper Burnley player.
McNeil 7 tried hard
Wood 5 Really tough night up front on his own.
Cornet 3 Looks so utterly lost in the Premier League. No moment of genius tongight, so a 3 is fair. Gives the ball away more often than not.

Rodriguez 6 meh
Lennon 3 I would rather they held a raffle each week and a fan got to come on after 85 minutes and play on the right wing, at least it would be potentially exciting. Utterly pointless player.
A 3 for Cornet who looks “utterly lost in the Premier League” despite being our best player for 5 games in a row and scoring an equal amount of goals?

Please send me some of the hallucinogens you are on, they’re legal in NM from April the 1st. 🤷🤷🤷

Brownhill 4 zzzzzzzzz
You sound surprised ? Have you not seen the clowns form to know that was coming. He has also given Taylor a 6 and labelled Collins bambi on ice.

My Mrs understands football better than him and she hates it.

Any moron with eyes can see he is our weakest link in this team.

Taylor was great at defending but going forward he over hit four crosses from good positions.

Collins had a poor game in his first league appearance. But I raves about after his newcastle game and have been very complimentary about his other appearances.

Collins didn't have a poor game you were just being a bitter little kid like you are after most games. Must say though you have taken relegation well after last night.

From the away end after an afternoon on the beer (if that's allowed!)
Pope 7
Lowton 7
Collins 8
Taylor 8 (mom)
Cork 7
Brownhill 6
McNeil 7
JBG 6
Cornet 6
Wood 6

Jay 6
Vydra/Lennon n/a

I actually thought we played pretty well overall and a neutral looking on wouldn't have been able to spot the top 7 team from the relegation threatened one. Wolves were pretty poor and apart from Adoma (who we largely dealt with well) posed little threat. A draw was probably fair, but as usual we had half openings and opportunities to steal all the points (notably JBG rounding the keeper, but running out of pitch when he's probably should have shot first time) and sadly we didn't take them.

I thought we did well to get an away point from a far better (top-6) side.
Pope 7
Lowton 7
Collins 8
Mee 7
Taylor 9 MOM
Gudmundsson 5 Just not sharp enough nowadays - file with Ash the Bash
Cork 8 far better than I'd hoped/expected
Brownhill 7
McNeil 7
Wood 6 Achieved nowt, but had little to work with
Cornet 6 I'd hoped he would pull us up to his level, not be dragged down to ours; the class moment of the match was the pass to JBG though.

Rodriguez 6 The next bus after AB & JBG's has gone?
Vydra 6 Sean's been right all along.
Lennon 4 - I think he just came back for a visit and has missed his bus already; as someone noted earlier, why not Roberts for that last 10 minutes?

Pope 7 - not a great deal to do but did what he had to well.
Lowton 7 - up against a tricky customer I thought he had a good game. Would have liked to see him get on the ball a little more however.
Collins 9* - excellent performance. Not sure on the slight theatrics after Jiminiez scratched him but otherwise very little wrong.
Mee 8 - very solid after the earlier booking, looked untroubled.
Taylor 9 - did brilliantly against Traore and a couple of excellent tackles on Jiminez too. Wood should have done better with his early cross in the first half.
Gudmundson 6 - thought he looked lively at times. Thought he should have had a go with his right foot when Cornet played him through...
Brownhill 7 - picked up good defensive positions and made some vital interceptions. Use of the ball could be better at times but thought he stuck to the task well.
Cork 7 - covered a lot of ground and showed good energy. Again could have been more effective on the ball at times.
McNeil 6 - thought he did OK, but agree with comments he should perhaps have been stronger st times.
Wood 5 - should have done much better with Taylors Cross first half and thought his hold up play was quite poor. Intermittently looked a threat.
Cornet 5 - really struggled with his back to goal and perhaps missed Westwood and Tarkowskis ability to feed balls into space for him to latch on to. One sublime pass to Guddy.

Jay 6 - thought he looked lively, seems a bit sharper than he has done previously.
Vydra 5 - not as impactful as his latest cameos and should have done better with the opportunity from the corner and played a sloppy pass when well positioned late on also.

An excellent defensive display and the unity/fighting spirit really does seem to be back. We need to start nicking some wins however over the next few weeks otherwise its going to be a very tough second half of the season.

I totally disagree, Cornet has so much technical ability, but he often looks very lost in the Prem, (especially in our military unit!) Don't get me wrong, I think he will go on to be fantastic, but last night he was so lost I felt bad for him.

Collins looks so assured already, I certainly didn't expect him to look so solid so quickly. I have literally no idea what you are talking about. And as for Taylor, what a player he is, absolutely brilliant, one of the 1st names on the teamsheet.

I think the issue is more that Cornet is not the kind of player to fight for and take down long balls with his back to goal as Wood, Jay and Barnes etc are paid a lot of money to do. He's far better and more comfortable facing the goal and running at people and although he's clearly got a great eye for goal, that doesn't automatically make him a striker as in leading the line or playing up top in a front two. He looked lost last night and was completely unable to win and hold on to the long balls out of defence. It's not his forte and he needs playing out wide which is his strength (imo)

agreed, but when he played out wide, he left Taylor totally exposed. As I say, I reckon he'll be shaped into an excellent player, he looks to have the right mentality to learn. He has been a great lift for the team, exactly what the fans needed.

Brownhill was fine last night. He was decent on the ball including giving a decent ball for the J-Rod chance. Anybody giving Taylor a six has clearly lost the plot.

Great atmosphere at a really good ground, and a battling performance. For me a point gained, bearing in mind arguably two of our best players out, playing away to side who are much improved, with one of the best No 9's in the league in Jimineez, and one of the most explosive in Traore

Pope 8-good kicking and some very good saves second half
Lowton 6, shaky start but played well against their attacking wide wing man
Collins 7, very good stand in performance. Broke down a number of attacks. Good positioning
Mee 7-a good battling performance, and solid at the back
Taylor 9-very good peformance with two simply outstanding tackles. Only fault was his final delivery
Cornet 5-not his night. Looked confused at what role he was playing. I think just an off night
Brownhil 7-stuck to his performance. Nothing flash or creative but regained possession well and some good tackles
Cork 7-surprised me. Thought he did well. Probably his best game, at times showing good composure and control
McNeil 7-his tackling has improved immensely. He was busy all night and showed some good trickery. Thought he should have taken more of the dead balls
Wood 6-looked isolated and had 2-3 defenders all over him. Correct to take him off
JBG 6-looked lively again, but he has slowed down and simply has no right foot

Rodriguez 6-looked more of a threat than Wood when he came on. Might have scored at the end
Vydra-surprised he did not come on earlier to partner Wood. Had little impact

For me on Saturday, Tarks & Westwood to return and Cornet and Dwight as the two wide men, and Rodriguez and Vydra to start with Wood rested and on the bench

Midfield were average
Forwards were poor

Lack of quality and composure on the ball might be our downfall this year

"Collins had a poor game in his first league appearance"

Certainly not in his first PL game.
