After the nice Maxwel Cornet shot, Burnley intends to continue to raid in Ligue 1. The Clarets' new target is none other than Angelo Fulgini, the talented midfielder of the SCO of Angers.

At the very end of August, Burnley broke his piggy bank and paid €15 million to afford the services of Maxwel Cornet, OL's very versatile Ivorian international. The amount paid by the English club was ready to smile, but it is clear that 3 months later, this poker move is not contested since a real Cornetmania panics the 19th Premier League. With 5 goals in 7 matches, Cornet is one of the few satisfactions of the English club. And obviously this success inspires Burnley's recruitment cell, which has set out to buy a new Ligue 1 player.

According to our information, the Clarets aim no more and no less than Angelo Fulgini, the talented midfielder of the SCO of Angers. The latter, under contract with the SCO until June 2023, was already scheduled to leave last summer, but had finally remained on the shores of Maine to his great dismay. The former U23 international took time to digest this aborted departure as he explained recently in the columns of Ouest France. "When you hear all summer that you are sure to leave, that club names come out and that in the end you do not leave, you have to digest it. I'm not worried. I didn't lose my football. (...) Logically, this year's Angelo should be better than last season's, with experience. ”

Burnley ready to put €15 million on the table for Fulgini

Author of 10 goals and 4 assists last year, the former Valenciennes player is less successful this season (2 goals and 2 assists in 14 matches). For the moment, the passage time is therefore insufficient for the 25-year-old player who finally has much more difficulty turning the page than expected. But Fulgini may well see his wish to leave CHS this winter fulfilled. As reported by The Sun, Fulham, the current Championship leader follows him carefully, but Burnley does seem to be the hottest. According to an English source, PL's penultimate, who has supervised the player several times in recent months, is ready to put €15 million on the table to snatch Fulgini this winter.

In financial difficulty for a few months and with the shadow of the National Management Control Directorate hanging over the club (the DNCG has kept the SCO under supervision, payroll and transfer allowances, as last summer), the club chaired by Said Chabane could welcome the arrival of this big check to give itself a good breath of financial air to the Angevin club. Case to follow.

Just checked him out on Youtube.
He likes to run with the ball and has a bit of pace, we could do with that

Imagine this reported interest might be targeted at getting Fulham to offer in Jan/increase their offer. Looks like they need the money.
