Will two-year football kit cycles become the norm again?

Brentford are not changing their kit at the end of the season.

Will it become the norm? I can't see it myself.

I thought there was meant to be a rule about this years ago but it never happened.

I do think the trend of three new kits a season is a joke. Keep an away kit for two seasons so that one season it’s the designated away and the season after it becomes the third. Obviously change of kit suppliers and shirt sponsors can lead to this being almost impossible.
