Quite shocking, not a bloody clue how to put a team to the sword. Only changes a team if suspension or injury. Nobody should try and defend the lot tonight.

Gutted tonight. Deserved a draw, up to the goal only Burnley in it. Ended half showing grit and fight. Our season in a cameo. Burnley attack Vydra barged off the ball by their centre half, no foul. Next attack, Vydra leaning into their off balance centre half, foul. It’s the little things… and they are the things that make this anti-Burnley prejudice so unfair.

We will turn it around, we just have to stop hoping for any sort of help on the pitch.

We needed Roberts and Jay on at half time not waiting till it was too late
A very bad result all the worse for our disjointed attempts to respond to the goal.

4minutes added was shocking, not that we would have scored if it had been 40.
There was the JRod offside review, he stopped the game to lecture SD, all the substitutions and just basic time wasting(Shelvey taking a corner on the left then WALKING the width of the pitch to take one on the right), etc.,

I'm not watching again for a while now, its death by 1000 cuts every week. Hope we give some of the youngsters a try and prepare for next year. Feeling utterly dogshit.
I would say that is very unlikely as we don't have a single U23 player remotely ready.

Burnley unable to create chances.
Sloppy/dodgy goal.
Cornet injured for December?

Burnley the better side today but could not turn it into a win. Vydras miss pathetic. The timekeeping of refs is fixed..the last Newcastle sub in injury time took over a minute, Dyche complained and got a talking too from the ref in addition how much extra time? 30 secs

Beut the goal was crucial Rowls. They were struggling until we gifted that. That lifted them and the crowd and gave them something to si.ply hold on to and counter.

And it had the opposite effect on us. We became hurried and disjointed and we looked anxious.

People say luck evens out but its not doing and it shows in the mentality in the 2nd half
Don't think the goal should have been allowed to stand but difficult to make that the focus of the match when we've played as poorly as we did today.

Absolutely ******* disaster of a performance and more so the result.

We'll look back at this afternoon at the end of the season as the game that sent us down.

******* horrible from everyone involved.

Final positive of the night - unless City do something daft in a bit, we move out of the relegation zone with a win on Wednesday. Not over yet but we are inexcusably giving ourselves a tough season when we really shouldn’t be.

The problem is the system as a whole. We used the fact we were fitter, pressed harder and covered more ground to good affect. The problem is, most teams have developed this into there own styles, you don't find so many teams that sit off you with the ball these days. I think Klopp exposed what a good press from the front line can achieve. Football evolves. We haven't moved forward, there's an argument to say we're moving backwards.

Garbage & a team without intelligence and any attacking ideas. This is a performance of a manager who doesn't know what to do any more with these players and doesn't trust any other approach, we'd be better just defending and keeping it tight.
This league has moved on & become more intricate & intelligent playing between the lines going forward. We pass sideways, backwards and then jump pump it because we have nowhere to go and no options because we are always over-run, especially in midfield. How can you ask in the modern game 2 central midfielders to protect the defence and also help in attack, the spaces & distances are too much.
We're down & I've finally accepted that we need a change of manager - we're only going down this year with this approach, which isn't gonna change even with new players.
Dinosaur football that is being proven by our win ratio in the last 18 months.

Cornet going off made an unbelievable difference. We were all over them. Then we gifted them a goal and proceeded to lump it up to wood to not win anything.

I also used to think vyds was a very good player, but he needs games to get goals, and he’s not going to get games unless he gets goals, so he won’t play.

That was poor and it is a problem in the game.

The 6 second rule is still there but routinely goes unpunished.

However, the prime focus of our appraisal of the game today should be on our shortcomings. Regardless of the faults of the officials we should have been good enough to win that game.

If we had played anywhere near the level we performed against Brentford or Chelsea we'd have won that despite the decisions and officiating that I agree did not go in our favour.

No. He won't. He won't get goals with more games. He's had plenty of time to start that and also against lower keague opposition in the cup. He is a tidy enough player with a nice touch but he's not a finisher. He isn't the answer.
