Loved when they used part of it for the "Blakes Seven" theme

Just heard in the news tonight. Absolutely epic single from a guy who worked with major people. Sad loss to ‘Music’.

Must have missed that one Boss even though I loved Blake’s Seven. Having said that I never forgave Midge Ute for nicking the Dr Who theme for Do They Think It’s Christmas. 😂

I will Boss. I think I saw every episode but I’m fckd if I can remember the theme at all. 😂
PS. As an ex editorial writer and proof reader I’m gutted I missed the Ute. It does seem unintentionally funny though.

I'll probably dig out my Vinyl copy of Stranger in the City tomorrow and give it a blast.

Music was an iconic number - I rather liked his first hit Highfly.

Played most of his later live stuff in Germany where he was a permanent invitee to their pop proms.

RIP John Miles. "Music" was a classic but I also loved "Remember Yesterday" - brilliant melodies.

‘Music’ is one of my all-time favourite songs. Really like When You Lose Someone So Young, too.

My favourite John Miles record was a fairly obscure one which later became a big Northern Soul floor filler. “One Minute Every Hour” Haven’t got time to upload it as off to work. Google it though if you haven’t heard it before. Class.

RIP John. Thank you for the Music. I have Rebel, his first album, mainly on the back of Music but several other decent tracks. Also toured as Tina Turners lead guitarist.
