It was odds-on that further restrictions would be implemented at some point to slow down the new variant. Announcing it today though is just pure coincidence and has nothing whatsoever to do with taking Partygate off the front pages. Nope, not one little bit.

No mate, I mean to get the best possible protection from the virus

I'm sadly assuming that most people have had enough of restrictions, mainly because of the idiot in charge, so the safest way is to be as vaccinated as possible
I am double vaccinated and will be going for a booster soon.
But my point is we could be sat next to LF fakers.

Have people forgotten that the Premier League brought in vaccine passports as condition for entry to games some weeks ago? I think it was before we played Southampton. I can't remember if passes were checked, I got held up in traffic so only got to the ground just as game was kicking off.

Chelsea have required all to show vaccine pass from their first home game. It worked well. Vaccine pass was checked by stewards in an outer cordon before you got anywhere near the ticket barriers.

We could, but we'd have maximum protections if that did happen so the selfish ones hopefully wouldn't affect us

What about the players who refuse to be vaccinated? The latest figures in October showed 19% had not been vaccinated. Should those "killers" be allowed in the stadium?

The jabs are totally pointless, it’s as simple as that.

To be fair, if I am double-jabbed but unknowingly carrying the virus, the LF faker sat next to me is the one putting themself at risk.

You right, after listening and reading , I think football grounds should be locked down and footy played behind closed doors again.

Can't be that hard to check covid passport/LFT result.

Attended a venue a few times in Manchester recently that holds 5000-8000 people twice a weekend. Each person shows their status, including not-taken LFT results, with little hold up.

I drove past the Turf this morning and the new digital turnstile screens have been installed. Whether they work is another story, but they’re definitely up.
