Stunning strike from Sane, 25yds. Ter Stegen barely moved and it was reachable.

Can’t ever remember Barcelona being in the Europa League, must be quite some time.

Didn’t Liverpool beat them in the semi final in 00/01 season when they won it.Milltown1882 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 8:47 pmCan’t ever remember Barcelona being in the Europa League, must be quite some time.

Obviously UEFA Cup then. They have never featured in the competition whilst it’s been called Europa League.

Fantastic result, they deserve every bit of financial misery they get
Re: Bayern v Barca
Whilst Barcelona are far from being alone in terms of spending money they haven't (hadn't) got, their present demise is good for football. They will come back but only if they return to being run properly and stop paying ludicrous wages. Although Messi was by far the highest-paid player, people like Neymar weren't exactly struggling to make ends meet.
"The last time they were not in the Champions League knockout stages was 2003-04, which was also their last season in the Uefa Cup/Europa League. They were eliminated by Celtic.
The last time they failed to qualify from a Champions League group was 2000, when Leeds finished above them. Barca have won the tournament four times since then."
