If they try and do it at the turnstile it will be total chaos.

Chelsea have been checking vaccine passes all season. A cordon of stewards (not youngsters) checking before allowed through to turnstiles. It was very easy.
A little more details re experience at Stamford Bridge: two cordons of stewards (all experienced, no youngsters) one checked you had a match day ticket the second checked your covid-19 pass. The cordons were set up 20 or 30 meters away from the turnstiles.
I'm sure this can be organised at Turf Moor. Of course, the area around the ground is not the same as at Stamford Bridge.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
Following Government announcement new protocols in place for supporters attending Turf Moor
Following the announcement from the Government on Wednesday 8th December regarding Plan B, Burnley Football Club can confirm the new protocols in place for supporters attending matches at Turf Moor.
The new protocols will come into effect for Burnley Football Club on Wednesday 15th December when we play host to Watford at Turf Moor in the Premier League.
All those, aged 18 and over, in attendance for the game against Watford, and all fixtures, both home and away, moving forwards after this date, will need to pre-register their Covid-19 status. Supporters can access an online form to declare this by clicking here - go.burnleyfc.com/COVIDPass
Supporters will need to supply one of the following to gain stadium access…
NHS Covid-19 passport which you can download on the NHS app
A negative lateral flow test
Spectators must not bring paper versions of vaccination cards – Digital passes are now the required form of acceptable Covid-19 pass.
Supporters should continue to expect to be subject to spot-checks on the perimeter and/or turnstiles of the stadium.
Even though the new rules are not in effect for our game against West Ham United on Sunday 12th December, we ask all fans to continue to follow Government guidance and do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.
We will update supporters with further information as soon as we have it.

Question Number 3
Clarets Number
Number must be between 111111 - 999999
I suppose that one way to reduce the number of those attending
Exclude those that begin with a 10

Im in Burnley over Xmas so if any anti-vax, covid denier has a ticket not being used for the Everton game please let me know. Preferably not in the CFS, Bob Lord, lower tiers, behind the goals or near the sides and backs of the stands. Apart from that Im not too fussed on the seat location

What are we supposed to do with the form once filled in?
It's not letting me save a completed copy of it, I haven't received an email and they don't want printed bits of paper.

Nevermind, after a bit of faffing around I've managed to save as PDF.
I consider myself quite tech-savvy and found this hard work, so God knows how some are going to manage

Does that mean anyone without a mobile phone can't gain entry?

So it's official - if you don't have an internet-phone, you can't come? They might be getting some season ticket refund requests on that one.

I just submitted it, tried the save as pdf but it just gave me the option of printing 6 pages

That's the issue I had (well 2 pages of the completed form and a 3rd with a single claret line on it)
I was using an iPhone, so not sure if same on others, but if you click the "download" icon (square with arrow), you get an options for MS Forms
You can select that, choose PDF and save into files

Surely the club will have to allow paper copies of the vaccine passport otherwise, as you say, there will be many requests for refunds.

Why do you have to save a copy or print out the form? I thought you just answered the questions and press submit. Then ensure you turn up with your covid pass on the NHS app?

I suspect they mean the little cards they give you when you have the jab. I think they have said before that they will not suffice.

I have just submitted it. That will be enough and already have the passport. Probably get asked for the pdf at the turnstile next week

I've got a paper Covid passport. I'll be using that.
Although the club statement is, unsurprisingly, ambiguous.

I've entered 6 countries recently with paper copies, in fact they prefer paper copies at the borders.
If paper can be used to leave, and enter countries, I doubt turf moor could turn you away.

My Dad has one of those old Nokias that isn’t a smartphone. Can’t be alone in that.
I read the website as meaning it has to be electronic, but we’ll see.

It very clearly excludes paper copies of the NHS pass without giving a reason. Don't understand why because, as someone has said above, these are okay in other scenarios.
It will be bad enough getting in for ko, but not allowing paper copies of the NHS pass will make it worse.

Having read the club announcement.
Surely the reason for submitting your result and clarets number will be to authorise your ticket.
My guess was it will then authorise your ticket and unauthorised tickets will not allow you in the turnstile when scanned.

I suspect this is what is meant by ‘digital pass’, the ability to scan a QR code, although the awful wording is bound to cause confusion. The article also doesn’t tell you how to prove a negative lateral flow test.

It isn't excluding paper copies, it's just another awfully written article.
You can use a digital pass on your phone or the printed version of the digital pass. You cannot use your vaccine card.

The pre-registration is just about you agreeing not to enter the ground with covid symptoms and understanding the new legal requirement re covid passes. They could link it to your ticket I guess, which begs the question what if you don’t ‘pre-register’?

Reckon for the vast majority of people it will take about 1 whole minute to sort out. For most of the rest, maybe 5 mins. Obvs there will be some exceptions but it's hardly an inconvenience.

It does not say you will be checked on match day except for spot checks.
My point is you need to pre register or your not getting in. Because that’s the new rules.

Already got one on my phone so no hassle, even if I don't really agree with the implementation. I'm guessing the idea is just to raise awareness around Covid. It's so easy to workaround if you hadn't had a vaccine as to be pointless.

Your covid pass only lasts a month from the date you download it
Out of interest how are the club going to contact season ticket holders and fans generally that they need to register their covid status before they can attend next Wednesday match not everyone comes on here

No paper vaccination CARDS. Paper vaccination pass OK. That’s how I interpret that message. Digital’s preferable but downloading last minute could be an issue as the signal around Turf Moor is poor. As mentioned above you need a suitable phone too. I think a paper pass will have a bar code whereas the vaccination cards could be forged.

A QR code on a piece of paper is still a digital pass
