Ah lovely, another home game which will be shifted to midweek preventing my attendance.

Cheers Rafa you gigantic, Satan-lookalikey, Scouse loving, tapas guzzling ballbag.

Initially, I was livid but, after a wee nip of whisky, and walking the bus, I've parked the dog and moved on ;)

Absolute joke. Some of them must have broken a nail overnight, poor souls... Yet again Burnley are one of the only PL clubs to be trying to do things by the book...not that the authorities will pay attention to any of these planned cancellations

You do wonder how many of these games would have been postponed if the other team had been awarded the points, I’d hazard it wouldn’t be many

One thing you can guarantee is that every single player that's injured will be at Everton's training ground, doing a full workout.

I know these last couple of seasons are unprecedented, with Covid etc. But, I think it's blatantly obvious some clubs are manipulating the situation. The same clubs/managers that have always called for a winter break. They're are bringing it in the back door. It's inevitable future seasons will be planned around this.

Absolute farce now. The only way this could be fair is that the ‘injured’ players are not eligible to play when the fixture is re-arranged. Season should be scrapped.

The problem with scrapping the season is that the TV money would also be scrapped - we'd be up schitt's creek without a paddle.

What an absolute joke. I sympathise with covid cases but it’s wrong when it’s just injuries. We could all see that they were going to be a few ‘injuries’ in training yesterday / today. Scandalous.
All player's out because of injury should not be allowed to play in the rearranged game

When do the announce the replay dates? Presumably we will have to ask Everton when it might be convenient re. their injury situation? What's the odds that it's fixed for a time when we have injury problems and Everton are fully fit.
******** to the season ending when it should, we need it extending a month, we can't fit in 5 6 7 games, do they want us to play Tuesday Thursday Saturday for the last two months of the season they wouldn't let Man City or Liverpool do this

That will be the unfortunate knock-on for us, but make no mistake, when Sky and others come knocking for their half a season’s worth rebate, it will decimate the majority of PL clubs who will have already spent that money and then some. That effect will trickle down to the players and football staff.

It will serve them right and they will wish they had behaved with a lot more integrity.

Perhaps they should have to realse the names of the players with covid and they would be the only ones eligable to play in the reraranged fixture, no player who was not in the team that played on the 16th alowed to play as injuries and suspensions are not supposed to be a reason for presures of covid .
also no new player from transfer window oh the team who asked for cancelation.
The rearanged games should be when Burnley want to play not when it suits the ones who have canceleld due to covid.

Also a 3 goal start to us and 15 min each way to save the legs and health of the players.

We won't have a say when these catch up game's are to be played, the premier league will make sure its okay with Everton, Villa etc when to play, last season we played loads of games with 2 goalkeepers and academy players on the bench without crying to the premier league.

Benitez delaying his inevitable sacking…….can just imagine the meltdown if they’d lost at Burnley…..

How they’ve had “more injuries”…….as said earlier, “injuries…….tough……….get on with it”.

I just pray when we do play them we absolutely smash ‘em.

They've just got no idea how tone deaf they are and what normal people are going through.

The country is on it's knees paralysed by fear, hospitality industries amongst others are dead, inflation is through the roof, taxes are sky high, mental health is in the toilet, non-communicable diseases might as well be something close to a death sentence now given the hospital waiting lists; and yet I hear the likes of Pep Guardiola talking about a strike because his millionaires are asked to play a few football games over the Christmas period.

I'm just so close to washing my hands of the whole rotten game. A shame because I was so looking forward to this season after all that went on before.

All these clubs getting these games off to get to the transfer window and strengthen.
I hope the PL extend the season instead of expecting clubs to play every 4 days until season end.

Rotten luck on Everton's part to suffer these extra injuries the day after their request was turned down.

Considering it's pretty much impossible for Everton to have had enough additional injuries I'm surprised the PL didn't ask for extra information.

Do we get to go back and play these games again from last season when we had a threadbare squad?

Oh dear. That's four games we will have to fit in before the end of the season. Hopefully, it will help us though. Maybe Cornet will be fit and we will sign a couple of players in January to help us.
The club needs to stay firm-all re-arranged fixtures AFTER the Africa Nations Cup

13 players plus a keeper and use U23 squad if needed according to Premier league rules announced last week.Total bxxxxxxs.

Absolutely pathetic from Everton. Noticeable the only clubs now moaning about ‘fixture congestion’ are the supposed big clubs. United’s new manager hasn’t even been here a month and he’s asking for the league cup to be scrapped!

That thought did cross my mind, however who on earth would we find to play, teams are either carrying lots of covid cases, or already have fixtures pencilled in their dairies.

If the Utd game proceeds on the 30th, which as Utd now apparently have a full squad bar Pogba to select from, I assume it will, then it'll have been nearly 3 weeks since the West Ham game.

Precisely! I thought the whole point of the PL clubs meeting was to avoid exactly this sort of scenario, hence why youth team players with 1st team experience were to be considered in the event of high absences, and Everton have a decent academy, so if they really needed to they could have cobbled a squad together.

For once I find myself in agreement with Conte.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59781300

And for those who think this is all about BFC, not at all Norwich have been impacted by cases, yet as it stands they are expected to play 2 games in 48 hours, how is that fair, when seemingly other teams can get games pulled at the drop of a hat.
