Elanga
Re: Elanga
That young , fast tricky one?
The aforementioned skills etc rules him out immediately.
I doubt he can he play as a 2nd left back and fit the "Framework"?

Yeah. Commentary said potentially goin on loan to championship. He looked great
Re: Elanga
Ideal loan if he could play on right - played on left tonight
But may be too young and too fast to fit within our framework

Re: Elanga
You’d think we’d more likely get Amad Diallo as he plays with Maxwel. Unless he’s said don’t come here unless you want neck ache.
Sorry. Negativity

Most of it is not negativity, it is fact borne out of years of experience.

Re: Elanga
These top 6 sides with phenomenal squads are bursting with such talent as Elanga. We need to get off our arses and watch a few in their respective U-23's. Not exactly rocket science
Re: Elanga
Given the success we had with Michael Keane you would have thought we would have gone big in this type of loanwarksclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:08 amThese top 6 sides with phenomenal squads are bursting with such talent as Elanga. For some reason, it would appear Dyche has other ideas given no further similar ventures

Re: Elanga
Spot on Gallagher at Palace, and Gilmour at Norwich are just 2 that instantly come to mind, both of course on season long loans from Chelsea.warksclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:08 amThese top 6 sides with phenomenal squads are bursting with such talent as Elanga. Jack Harrison at Leeds is another, they had him on loan from City for a few seasons, and then snapped him up for only £11m.
Why SD refuses to think outside the box regarding this potential market baffles me, and it's one his biggest failings.

Re: Elanga
Couldn't agree more jojo. It worked and seemed a good way to get someone with the pedigree to the club with promise of a perm move if they do well. If they didn't we had no obligation to buy. Try before you buy. Makes sense for our set up.

Re: Elanga
Trippier and Mee were both at Man City academy and as you pointed out, Mcneil was at Man United. Just 3 examples of good players who are let go by big clubs. An area we haven't targeted really since Dyche came in, apart from only Michael Keane, who has arguably been his best signing.Sleeping Cat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 1:49 pmTrippier & Mee were signed by Howe. McNeil was released by United at 14 and signed to our Academy then back in 2014.
Re: Elanga
Fast, direct, exciting young winger - all the exact attributes you won’t see for Burnley.

Re: Elanga
Nope! Sean with his walking football would rather sign someone who WAS good 10 years ago, but now struggles to get in a Championship side. But never mind, we will soon have another 20-22 million to add to our dry powder. Sleepwalking to the Championship.
