My local side Wealdstone that play at Ruislip Manor’s Grosvenor Vale have a defender going off to the African cup of nations
Good luck to the lad
Wealdstone have confirmed defender David Sesay will fly out tomorrow to meet up with the rest of his Sierra Leone national teammates.

I went to their old ground in the late 80s to see Barnet. Love non-league football.

Coincidentally I was just thinking about Wealdstone recently. I live in Lancashire and just a few days ago travelled down to London for a friend's funeral.steve_f wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 11:09 pmMy local side Wealdstone that play at Ruislip Manor’s Grosvenor Vale have a defender going off to the African cup of nations

The cremation took place at Breakspear at Ruislip and on my drive through the town I noticed a signpost saying "Wealdstone FC".
It stuck in my mind as I didn't realise Wealdstone now play in Ruislip.
Anyway good luck to the lad, it will be a big opportunity for him.
