We will get the 71 definitely. Thought Hobart was supposed to be a flat wicket. Good effort from Wood.

When was the last time we reached 50 runs without losing a wicket? Not on this tour I don't think.

Are the Aussies letting their kids bowl?

2015 at the MCG is the last time we had a partnership of 50+ in an Ashes Series.

Weve also got a bigger average for our first wicket than the Aussies 10th wicket now! :)

Another poor dismissal, both the manner and the timing. He was lucky not to play on earlier in the innings, didn't heed the warning and paid the price.

Three more partnerships of 68 should almost see us home. Piece of ****.

Green with his extra bounce is the danger man, but he only ever bowls in short spells. The Aussies need a 10 over burst from him. England just have to keep on attacking, a situation just made for Stokes.

And Boland can easily tie and end up with his line & length.
They've just an very good bowling set up.
If we get close to that total we'll have done well.

Given the way we have collapsed time and time again in this series I would say it would be nothing short of miraculous to to get even close to the total.

Think England can win this but need Stokes and Root to fire. There isn’t as much between these two sides as the results suggest. When your openers fail consistently things become hard.
You have to be positive on this pitch, but nobody is ever quite in.

Never really understood bouncers being allowed when you’re supposed to be knocking the stumps over.

That bouncer clearly rattled Malan. 2 very poor shots before playing on to the third one.

Stokes has had a very poor series, a mistake to select him given his fitness and lack of cricket?

Root gone and with him any hope of retrieving any consolation in this test. 5 wickets lost for 33 runs. No one does a batting collapse with the frequency and magnitude of an England test side.

Get them home, get Silverwood out, take Root off captaincy, bin the awful 100 and restructure the county game. What a shambolic year for English test cricket.

I’d be throwing punches in that dressing room if my team threw the towel in like this, should certainly be the end of a few test careers

Another pathetic display

5 tests, didn't score 300 once
Only scored over 200 4 times

Australia scored over 400 three times
And only scored less than 200 once (ignoring the 20-1 winning innings)

It's 100% clear where the issue lies
