Decent start for England.

Warner gone for a duck and Labuschagne dropped in slips for 0.
7-1 off 8.4 overs

Imagine if we’d lost the toss on this wicket in these conditions 😂

We’d certainly not have been 4 down at lunch

We haven't bowled particular well and the ball only moved about for 8 overs.
The Aussies will bowl a far better line and length and have the extra bowler.

Robinson bowling an over of 70mph then going off an over after lunch isn't a good sign.

Another 63 and it is almost impossible for them to lose this test

We're in a sorry state as far as Test cricket goes.
This is by far the worst I've ever known it.
ECB isn't fit for purpose. Just a cushy job-for-the-boys museum piece.

Yes. Broad hasn't had any backup.
Nobody can find a decent length.
Awful bowling. They're racking them up at six an over.

Those 2 late wickets have just about kept England in the game, but it's important we wrap up this innings early in the morning, and then somehow find runs, which on this pitch, and with England's batting might prove tricky.

What was it 13/3.

End of play 241/6

Only England would let a team off at 13/3

We always let them off the hook and don’t seem able to bowl them out for less than 300. Robinson is not physically fit enough for a 5 day test match bowler.

You would hope this will be his last ever test, he’s a million miles away from a test cricketer.

How many innings in this series is that with no England batter getting a 50? Just can’t compete like this.

David Warner is the first opener to have two pairs in the Ashes. He also had a pair at Old Trafford in the 2019 series.

Once again the batsman letting the side down, 37/3 at close, but that's already a lead of 152.

If your number 8 is top scorer you've evidently got a problem.

Billings did OK on debut, but like several he got in and then got out.

And despite not being at their best Australia are heading for a 4-0 series win.

We are clutching at straws in this series but I couldn’t have chosen anyone better to be the first than Warner
