FAO defouronblondes

Post by jdrobbo » Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:11 pm

Hi there,

I hope you're well. I'm hoping to drop into your establishment with W.Y.Clarets on Thursday 27th January. I was just wondering if that was OK? The plan is to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30pm - spend a good hour to 90 minutes there and then head for a curry in town. There are usually between seven and fifteen of us, depending on who can attend. If there are any problems, please let us know. Having spoken to you previously, I would like it if we were able to support fellow Clarets. Historically we've always gone next door to the Sparrow.

Best wishes

John

A meeting of West Yorkshire Clarets is what's going on Charlie and if you set off now you might just get there in time!! 😁

Just be warned, and I don't say this lightly, the footsteps of a legend will hopefully be drinking from your taps next Thursday!

Couldn't you find a pub that supplies glasses?

I’m assuming it’s your regular Bradford guest

I had a curry in Bradford last Friday at the Sweet Centre. Looks the business, very authentic Pakistani restaurant, none of this waiters in waistcoats and dickie bows looking like they are off to an awards ceremony nonesense. Was very underwhelmed by my prawn curry sadly. However it was redeemed by the Brains Curry we tried, that was actually very nice!

I used to play footy every Friday near the Sweet Centre at Manningham Sports Centre before Covid and we'd drink at the Beehive (Bradfords oldest pub) afterwards. About once a month we'd carry on for a curry at the Sweet Centre and its a great little place plus the bring your own booze is an extra little bonus.

We're moving to just playing every month now which is fine by me as every meet up ends up as curry night at the Sweet Centre
