Couldn't happen, could it?

I'd be more worried with him in charge of Newcastle as he knows how to grind out wins.

No way would he leave Everton when they are riding so high from all the wins he has managed to grind out.

Agent Benitez is doing a great job at Everton, just like agent Coyle did at Noblot and Barstewards

If he knew how to grind out wins, he wouldn't be close to getting potted at Everton.

Could Everton go for Dyche? I’d be more concerned about that.

Agreed. Eddie has only been in post a matter of weeks. He'll still be there come the end of the season.

why would any premier league side go for Dyche? i really hope they do, paying us compo to take him would be even better value than the Wood deal.

I don’t want to lose our manager but if Everton came in a straight swap wouldn’t be bad business.

It would be kind of interesting to have Benitez at TM. I think he'd like us.

Everton in for Dyche, not a chance.

Rooney will be the next Everton manager.

Was thinking that when reading a piece about Rooney this morning. It would put a kibosh on the hope a big fish might finding itself flapping in the shallow end, but surely even Everton’s owners can see he ticks every box for them.

Agreed, has got to be a fans favourite just to win everyone over. Despite the situation Derby have got themselves in, they are playing well and Rooney has been very diplomatic throughout this year and as you rightly say ticks a lot of boxes.

You are seriously deluded if you can’t see how much we have overachieved with Dyche. If and when he leaves we will be signing our own death sentence

Dyche is a busted flush, unable to evolve tactically and poor at player trading.

If he’s that good why hasn’t a bigger club come in for him? Especially the last couple of years when he was choking to leave the club.

While I agree we have overachieved with Dyche I also think it’s quite naive to think he’s irreplaceable. There are a lot of very good managers out there who could do a job.

A manager with a far bigger budget at Brighton has achieved precisely what?

Got them into Europe perhaps?

Turned them from a defensive rigid team to a possession based, attractive to watch team. This alone is something many managers have tried and failed to do. Btw Potters net spend is in the bottom 6 since he took over. Let’s see where they finish this year but anywhere in the top 10 would be pretty good considering the budgets above them. Very progressive modern manager who will no doubt get a move to a ‘top 6’ club.

Sure there might be another Dyche out there, but it too would be naive to think that we would find that one gem of a manager to replace him.
