Did they? I think they had a game postponed was it down to them though? I have no idea if it was them or not genuine question
I think they got their game at home to Villa called off:

given Arsenal had a game called off with ONE covid case there is no way on this planet they can rule to play the game. I still think this season will end up in court

The Premier League allowed injuries as well as covid cases to be taken into account when postponing a game. In my opinion, it should just be taken on the percentage of covid cases and then any holes plugged with squad or u23 players.
Yes, it's a shambles but we're only doing what others have done already. Plus with only 2 PL games tomorrow night, it's getting more attention than a full fixture list.

Apparently Dyche claiming he had only 10 outfield players with first team experience training today

No decision as yet but eventually the Prem will insist a game is played

Can you name any player, who has slipped on ice, or fallen down stairs, ever, or had similar stuff (jars falling on feet etc) that have been instantly replaced?
You can use Google as well as me, there are plenty.

At some point the PL are going to have to start putting their foot down. Its beyond a joke now. If Leeds can play their youngsters why can't other clubs?
Putting their foot down? for what? Club's are following the league's protocols.

Are the same Burnley fans calling for other clubs to be forced into using youth teamers now happy to see Burnley line up with youth teamers for the biggest game of the season?

No, because other teams weren't forced to. I was one who believed (and still believe) other teams used the "system" to their advantage when they'd have had to field under strength teams. I also believe they should have been made to play. They weren't, so I now don't believe we should or that's extremely unfair imo.

Is the PL now corrupt in our favour if they postpone 2 of our games in a row after we requested? or are they still anti Burnley?

This is going to be a big mess at the end of the season if we have clubs still not completing their fixture schedule on the last day of the season. Do they allow teams to finish on different dates. What if a game gets postponed 24 hours before the end of the season - do all games get postponed?

Same here. I have said all along either all games should have been halted for a few weeks or teams forced to utilise their full allocation of players on their books. As this was not the case then we should not now be forced into that situation.

In slight defence of Durham he has slated a lot of teams for calling off games not just us and I believe he is of the opinion clubs should be playing academy players to fulfill fixtures (although not sure how he can justify starting g now once the precedent has been set).

You mentioned being instantly replaced - no one else has. My point was that a recruitment team should have potential long and short term replacements in mind to cope with the unexpected. Otherwise what they do all day is beyond me.

No we're not. We are asking for a postponement inline with the criteria which has been set by the EPL.

Leeds had a bench full of teenagers at West Ham, one a 15 year old. We have loaned players out this week.

Clearly we could, if we really really wanted to, play the game using the Under 23’s to supplement the depleted squad.

Given our league position, it makes sense to have games called off where we can until everyone is back and/or signed 1 or 2 new faces.

You can argue it’s morally wrong etc but we are just now playing the same game everyone else is and I don’t blame us for that, despite how irate it makes you as a supporter arranging work etc around games.

TBH it doesn't matter one jot what supporters of any club think, it's the PL that have screwed it all and now have no way out without making it unfair to one or more clubs. The PL set a precedent and have to stick with it or it will end up in court imho

Bradford goalkeeper Matt Clarke missed a game in 2000 due to an injury sustained falling down his stairs at home. He was replaced by 41 year old Neville Southall

To me the Premier League should have said from the start, if you have 1 senior goal keeper, and 5 senior outfield players, so more than half the team...you play. By senior I mean at least 5 Premier League appearances, either starts or as a sub.

The rest you make up with u23's or whoever. Lets not forget these other players haven't been dragged off the streets. They are full time professional footballers playing for clubs in arguably the biggest league in the world..

It would be swings and roundabouts as to who would gain, and who wouldn't over the season. Take us for exapmple, we would probably have been in a better position than Watford and Everton if the Christmas games had to be played, but the latest two we wouldn't have been..

Someone needs to read more carefully. He was already there and had been on the bench for the previous 4 games. Nice try though

I have to give up my proper job to work on match days… I'm waiting to know if I need cover of not. It’s now past office hours to make arrangements.

The Premier League do not give a flying toss about anyone involved with the operations of a football match, freelancers, supporters and so on

What’s going on?

Watford have made 3 signings in this January window namely Kamara, Samir and Kayembe all of whom were first choice selections for the eleven that took the field against Newcastle last Saturday. We would have faced none of these now first teamers in December.

Just await the hysteria and noise from outside should we dare bring in a new player. :x

I have to give up my proper job to work on match days… I'm waiting to know if I need cover of not. It’s now past office hours to make arrangements.

The Premier League do not give a flying toss about anyone involved with the operations of a football match, freelancers, supporters and so on

What’s going on?
This sums it up well.

What actually do they review and why the hell does it take so long?

Longer it goes on the more likely it is on, in my opinion.

Someone needs to read more carefully. He was already there and had been on the bench for the previous 4 games. Nice try though
You do indeed

Comment: Google failed to return any players who were injured slipping on ice or falling down stairs,

Response: Finds story on google about a player injured falling downstairs

Idiot: Talks about another part of the discussion which I wasnt responding to (the "let alone" bit is what you missed)

Nice try though

I'll take the full context. But thanks. Try harder da. You're like a poor man's Adrian Durham.
