Lost his way completely after his bad injury, hasn't featured in a 1st team squad since November, apparently

I wouldn't say no if he was available at the right price. we wanted him before so he clearly is (or at least was) a fit and seen as being able to deputise for Mee. We will need a LCB soon so it's sensible to bring in.

Obviously this would be as well as the RM and forward we also need.

Fulham paid 20m for him and he’s played approx 50 times for them in 3 years - ouch

How much did we pay for Gibson and Collins in total and they don’t play either.

Deal was just about done I recall until his agent got a call from Fulham at the eleventh hour. It was just after we’d got into the ground at Aberdeen that I was told it wasn’t going to happen and seven days later came news of a first bid for Gibson.

Gibson was rightly moved on, and we recouped most of our initial outlay, and Collins will play plenty once Tarks leaves the building.

Wow some fall that

I’d say we dodged a bullet but was more a poisoned chalice - seen as we got Gibson instead

Played 50 games in a season for Wycombe around 8 years but never managed that with Fulham in 4 years. Presumably thats why he is back at Wycombe

Collins as an example of what your saying really doesn't stand up.

I never claimed to be Mystic Meg, and Collins was in theory Tarks successor, but clearly relegation has thrown a massive spanner in the works of any future plans.
