If Josh Brownhill is a premier league footballer then I’m the Queen of Sheba
He soon won’t be, along with about 20 of his mates.

United don't need a keeper. We won't have a single shot on target all game.

Weghorst looks considerably better with the ball at his feet than in the air but we're just wellying it

FFS, pick up the ball on the wing, plenty of players ahead of them, they turn and play it along the back line and then lump it and lose it. Come on lads, we need more than that.

Cornet needs to get back up top, Dwight back on the left and Lennon on the right. We are causing zero problems

I am really not seeing it at all.

I know it’s still early in his Burnley career but he makes an almost retired Peter crouch look quick.

For all the grief that Stephens got on Saturday (his first game in months), I wonder if Westwood and Brownhill will get the same treatment?

You just saw it there when he dropped deep, his link play was considerably better with his feet. Pace doesn't matter, he's a link forward goalscorer.

Not bothering watching the second half, life’s too short.

A link forward isn’t going to do a lot when we can’t pass a ball?

Let’s see how he gets on but I honestly think we are showing less threat now then ever before

It's apparent we are severely lacking in confidence and belief, much to be expected. Been another poor half, but we're playing much better opposition than Watford and there have been a couple of glimpses of relative quality towards the end of the half. We need a jammy goal from somewhere and the crowd to get behind them. I fear an early goal against early in second though! Pope has kept us in it so far. Come on Burnley

Cornet has been very poor. Clearly a player who can pull something from nowhere, but will frustrate more. I'd be tempted to shift him forward and bring on Lennon but not sure Cornet has 90 in him tonight.

Lucky not to be further behind. Pope done well here. We really have to start pushing on a bit more, how can we ever get out of this mess if we don't even have a shot on target? It's just too easy. Problem is what can we change to improve it now? We know he won't touch the formation.

12 shots to 0 says it all. Once again we are playing like a team of strangers but crazy as it sounds we are still in it. United were very good for 30 mins but looked very average for the last 15

Cornet was poor out wide vs Leeds too. Just get him directly up front with WW, he plays off the front man far better and is always capable of that moment of quality.

Well the only good news is it's only 1-0, as it Utd could and probably should be out of sight by now.

But yet again we carry zero threat, and this is now becoming a major problem.

Can’t see how cornet has been poor there - made a great run forwards and has hardly had the ball. It’s the overall lack of confidence throughout the team to take risks and play through balls/make runs which looks to be hurting us. Our best moments were Roberts and cornet cut backs but nobody had gambled to get in position.

So Glad to get to HT only one down .
Roberts is having a tough time indeed , Maxwell has given the ball away far too much and the only time we got into their box the ball was played behind the attackers .
United have far to much class all over the park i worry what can happen in the 2nd half .

The eternal optimist in me thinks Burnley will be a different team second half and play with belief and quality and go on to win the game, otherwise it’s another night where I can’t talk to anyone civilly for 24 hours

This is the problem with our fan base. There’s a reason we can’t compete, it’s because we are crap on the ball. If anyone player explains our current position it’s Brownhill, industrious but shocking quality on the ball.

What on earth has happened to Westwood lately, and Brownhills passing/crossing is so poor. Robbie Savage is telling us a few home truths about our midfield two and the way we are set up. We desperately need to move to 3 in CM to stop attacks as well as being able to sort our front two. Just getting swamped regularly with just 2 CM's

Well that’s just not true, Brownhill was captain of a play off challenging club and regarded as one of the leagues brightest young midfielders. There was talk West Ham were also in for him.

The lack of ability to pass a football ten yards in this team is phenomenal.

Has given the ball away the most on the pitch with 8 passes ending up to a Manchester player so far.

12 passes have reached a Burnley player
