Re: Oh dear !!!
Researcher would have looked up Barnsley on Google maps.
Re: Oh dear !!!
There is an email address at the very bottom if someone wants to let them know where Burnley is!

Re: Oh dear !!!
As IanMcL has pointed out the error has been corrected and I thought that it was the best , independent, match report l had read in a long time. Well done to the Camden Journal and to brunlea99 for finding it.

Re: Oh dear !!!
I've only just realised who they are!
Remember that newspaper starting - when editions used to be actually printed. They interviewed a local rock group I briefly managed. Be around Christmas, '82.
I lived in Camden at the time. Remember trying to get a date with the journo. But she wasn't having it & blew me out.

Re: Oh dear !!!
“ a well-motivated and organised club without Tottenham’s pretensions” - a very good description of Dyche’s Burnley, I’ll take that.

Re: Oh dear !!!
Pretty good match report that. I have to say the Spurs fans/reporters I've heard from have been gracious in defeat. Other 'big' clubs could take note.
Back to the OP.. Yorkshire or Lancashire, surprised to hear we're now playing high on the moors. We're actually only the 11th highest in regards altitude.

Re: Oh dear !!!
I found it hard to read as the article didn't flow.
Probably due to the modern trend of articles being written with one sentence per paragraph.
I've noticed this has been occurring a lot lately.
It is mainly prevalent in articles where they want to have lots of adds in between the information.
Or is it just me.

Re: Oh dear !!!
I did immediately email them when I spotted the mistake - so fair play to them for taking note and correcting it. (No acknowledgement of my email though.)Helmshore Claret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 10:15 amAs IanMcL has pointed out the error has been corrected and I thought that it was the best , independent, match report l had read in a long time.
