Yep, strange that there was nothing pre-game, but the usual suspects using this thread to have a go at the club is as classless as not hearing a resume of his achievements before silently paying our respects. Start your own thread if you want to whinge, leave this one alone. Utterly gittish.

Met Andy a few times whilst having a ground tour, lovely man with a twinkle on his eye. Sadly, never saw him play but my dad always told me he was tough as old boots. RIP Andy.

There has certainly been some strange, off the field decisions made at Turf Moor in recent times, this being one of them.

It sometimes makes me wonder if some members of staff at the club know anything about our history and traditions?

Things such as this were always discussed with supporter groups prior to going ahead. The club didn't always do what supporter groups suggested (and rightly so) but they did listen to the point of view. What happened yesterday would not have happened previously.

The response from the club to Burnley FC Supporters Groups was that they thought doing it like that was a success.

Andy's funeral cortege will be going past the Turf this afternoon at approximately 2 p.m. for anyone who wishes to go and pay their respects.

Oh dear.
This isn't the thread or day to discuss this, but it's certainly worth discussing and taking up with the club at some point in the near future.

What a team.What a man.R.I.P Andy.My all time Clarets hero.

God bless Andy, a man with a head like granite, condolences to his family.

My Dad used to call him Andy Blockhead because he said his head must be made of iron! I enjoyed watching him just rise above defenders and head the ball into the net. RIP Andy.
