Northants close on 218-7.
Two counties, Gloucestershire and Northants, are only playing 72 overs today because of the weather. The 24 lost overs are to be spread over tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.

132 all out, losing our last nine wickets for 82.

We're not going to win the title this year.

It's not been a great few days for Lancs has it, pipped on finals day, and now staring down the barrel of defeat in this game.

Only 4 batsmen made double figures, and extras was 4th top scorer, not a good day at the office,

Strange game cricket it was only a week ago Lancs topped 600, yet today they were swept away with ease.

Some morning for Lancs, 4 for Bailey, 2 for Williams, and 1 for Luke Wood, Northants 85-7, lead of 188, so if we can wrap these last 3 wickets up sharpish we're right back in this contest.

Finally a few quick wickets, all to Williams, giving him his 5-for, however the damage might already be done, 174 all out, so Lancs need 278 to win, which would comfortably be the highest score of the match.

Hmm! could be a tight one in the morning, Lancs were going nicely at 165-2, but close on 192-5 although one of those is Parkinson, Bohannon likely to be the key he's 92 not out overnight.

Don't want to put the mockers on it, but Lancashire edging towards victory here.

42 more required, with four wickets in hand.

Bohannon got his ton, but was then promptly out for 103, despite his loss Lancs are slowly edging their way towards victory 40 needed now, however a new ball is looming in 4 overs.

Excellent four wicket win.
Unbroken 60 odd partnership for the seventh wicket between our two new players, Williams and Sundar, sees us home.

Starting the day five down, I thought we would struggle today, but thankfully we had enough and that is a terrific win in the end, especially after the first innings. Back to 2nd in the league.

Good win that for Lancs, and badly needed with Surrey winning, and Hants likely to complete victory soon, a HT for Kyle Abbott as well.

And another 4 wickets for Keith Barker, who's now 3rd highest wicket taker in 1st Class Cricket this summer with 42. He started his career in the juniors at Enfield CC, near Accrington ...

Remarkable game at Leicester. Leicester piled up 584, however in reply Glamorgan scored 795-5 declared, with the small matter of 461 unbroken added for the 6th wicket, Northeast finished on 410, and Chris Cooke on 191, not surprisingly batting to save the match Leicester are finding it tough.

Today marks the start of the final round of CC matches before the break for other forms kicks in.

Lancs host Kent.

Yorkshire host Hampshire.

Top of the table Surrey host last season's champions Warwickshire.

And surprise, surprise the start has been delayed at OT due to rain.

     Hello Yorkies

33/6...... until the rain intervened

Voldemort 1, Kent lad 6, Hill a golden, lad signed from notts 6 (not out), Tattersall 6, Waite 4, The New Pie Chucker 8 and the Traffic Cone currently nought not out. Mohammad Abbas 3-7 off 9 overs.

At least with it being in Scarborough, the outfield should be capable of dealing with an ickle bit of rain, unlike "Clean Slate" (PMSL) Headingley. You can't just sign a sponsor called clean slate, and think it will absolve all other wrong doing.

There is a strong rumour that YCCC are looking into forging a close relationship with another side in the hope of creating a new slate culture and moving forwards.

Talks are said to be progressing well with cricket scotland

Partial recovery by Yorkshire, 84-6 Fraine and Bess going along quite quickly.

Play due to start at 3PM at OT assuming the rain keeps away.

On a rain affected day Lancs 112-4 at close, the top 4 all getting starts, but only Croft 21 not out might make the most of that, pity about losing those late wickets of Wells and Jones, but hopefully tomorrow will be easier for batting.

Yorkshire marginally recovering to end 158-8, but Hampshire and Surrey, who reduced Warwickshire to 240-8 enjoying strong opening days with the ball.

Henry gets his 4th of the morning, 135-8, Bailey gone for a duck.

The only positive Lancs can take from this is there is plenty in this pitch, but 200 and a batting bonus point is looking distant.

With the bowling Lancs have we're always in the game, but any additional runs the tail can add will be welcome.

I guess this is what happens when you produce a results pitch, but given Lancs have to win they had little choice.

Denly and Leaning building a useful partnership after lunch, they've now added 28, which in the context of this match is a lot.

Another for Bailey, weird how quickly this game can swing, 120-6, and Ollie Robinson after his long train journey lasted 3 balls.
