Great afternoon for Lancs. Having won the toss and got to 119before losing their first wicket (38th over); further Glos wickets at: 131/2, 133/3, 142/4, 150/5, 150/6.
No wickets for Jimmy yet- he'll be a bit miffed about that I think and wanting to bowl to get a share of the spoils.
He’ll mop up the tail

Took my lad on today to watch the mighty red rose. He was delighted to get a chance to get on the outfield at lunch!

Used to love doing that when I was young. I was always fascinated by inspecting the pitch and watching what the ground staff were up to. Not done it for ages now- too interested in my scran and having a natter. Loads of adults still have that fascination and wander on there though I notice.

Unbelievably, Gloucestershire are now all out for 252.

Hassan Ali has taken six wickets. What a brilliant start for him!

Hassan mopped up nicely there with the last 3 wickets between 83rd and 88th overs.
No wickets for that Anderson bloke- needs dropping ;)

Stupid run out right at the death takes a slight edge off a decent day for Lancs, another century opening stand for the ops, then another collapse, decent track by all accounts so no reason we can't put on a good score tomorrow.

No joy for Jimmy on his return, but he'll just be glad to be bowling again, and 16 overs is probably enough for his 1st day back.

Lancs 255-3 now, 3 runs ahead. Bohannon 136 NO currently. Hopefully should be able to get a decent 1st innings lead (100+) and then have another good bowl at them tomorrow afternoon.
Yorkies not badly placed either. 1st innings lead of 92 (296 v 204) and 53-0 in 2nd innings.

Those shocking red roses are like the Blackburrrrn Roverrrrs badge, the shame of it.

Meanwhile the Yorkies also in cruise control.

Another fine day for Lancs, set up perfectly for Jimmy and Parky to bowl them out tomorrow.

Great knock from Bohannon, and useful support from the top order, and the batsmen in fine early season touch which bodes well for the rest of the campaign.

Really strange to see that ground so empty. I've only ever been there for test matches. Looks very sparse even for a county game but I guess having to wear an overcoat doesnt help + footy season still ongoing.

Just a thought though…it’s such a good track that I’d be looking to leave four full sessions to bowl at them, even if that means having to chase down a few runs at the other side. It would be criminal not to leave ourselves enough time. Time to start the acceleration.

Aye, this partnership is progressing at c. 4 an over, get 20+ a few overs in, take the score to a bit past 500 and get them in for a few overs before tea.

Great day for Lancs again, stunning partnership between Bohannon and Vilas, and now Phil coming in to rub Salt in the Gloucs wounds.

Bat for another hour or so, then stick them in for a tricky few overs before tea, and then an awkward evening session, and hopefully knock a few over tonight.

Yes it's a good pitch, but scoreboard pressure can be telling.

Khan in his 57th over for Gloucs, I assume he's a spinner, but even so that's a large workload for any bowler.

Salt gone for 21, but Bohannon goes on 231 not out now, 486-5 and a declaration can't be far away surely.

Bohannon finally out for 231, 486-6 and if we aren't going to tick the board over we might as well be bowling. lead is nearing 250 and time could be vital in the 4th innings.

That is some workload for the bowler; in his 60th over now. 114-3 isnt bad in the context of the game.

500 up for Lancs again in the 1st innings, can't complain about the batsmen so far this term.

Excellent from Lancs.

Dan Lawrence batting with a runner due to a hamstring injury atm but settled on 17 off 34.

Indeed it would, and often when teams have toiled in the field they struggle when they eventually come out to bat, so a great chance for Lancs to nip a few out in this session.

Jimmy strikes early, 13-1 Harris gone.

Come on, who were the two Burnley fans they spent some of Friday talking to,?

Guess we have to class this session as nice then, all 3 back in the hutch cheaply, 61-3 and a long way behind.
