.......as for Roberts.....his confidence is shot & he simply never stops the cross coming in.
Lowton has to play....Cork for Westwood too. Been saying it for a while now, but today made it crystal clear.

Roberts has shown he's a great player. Not all great players can fit into every team. We don't utilise his talents, and until we do we aren't likely to see the best of him.

Richarlison made Roberts look like a very bad defender today. Skinned him every time he got the ball.

I also don’t understand his decision making. Why did he push forward for there second penalty, leaving space behind Lennon for there player to run into.

I’ve been vocal in my support for him ahead of Lowton on the basis there is no future in Lowton.

However Roberts was all over the place tonight and struggled in all areas so I would now bring Lowton back in.

I wouldn’t write him off yet but it’s time for a change.

I dont know if we have seen McNeil and Roberts play on the right together yet?

But maybe they could form an interesting partnership. Similar to Boyd and trippier. Boyd cuts in on his left to make space for trips to run into.

Completely agree with this. It was interesting to see the interview Roberts did a few weeks back when he talked about his time here so far. It’s fair to say he’s had a difficult start to life, that illness sounded horrendous and it sounded like he’s a bit homesick to me. Plus he’s just had a newborn so I’d imagine sleep will be of the essence right now.

He’s definitely got a future here, I’ve seen enough of him for Wales and Swansea to know that, but perhaps a full pre season with work done is what he needs. For now, Lowton’s crosses could get us a few goals, especially with Cornet offering an extra presence in there.

Bold move by SD to replace s full back but it was absolutely the right decision.

We simply need our most effective players on the pitch for the run in regardless of whether they are the long-term options.

Connor Roberts article on the BBC, I totally understand his desire to play at a WC, but I think many Burnley fans would consider his next 2 games as his most important.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61466330

Of course we would and I’m sure he sees them as important too. I’ve not been his biggest fan but he’s slowly but surely looking better.

Him seeing playing for his country and getting to a World Cup - I actually like. It reminds of how football used to be - playing for your country and being hugely proud to do so, was the pinnacle.

Get picked for your country and you’re doing well for your club team. Good luck to him.

Yeah, good luck to him. Hope they win the game and his dreams become a reality.

Would be great if it’s also on the back of our Premier League survival.
