Pope - 7 solid with a couple of distribution wobbles
Roberts - 4 unfortunately looking like his touch and awareness aren’t for this level
Tarkowski - 10. Top, top quality. Major part in two goals and colossus at the back. Far better player than some in England squad.
Collins - 8. great finish and some good stuff at the back but a few wobbles too for the young lad
Taylor - 8. More solid than recently and a great assist
Lennon - 7. Bundle of energy and not mich of a mistake for the pen
Westwood - 5. Looks miles off it to me and he nullifies Brownhill too - wasn't a pen but still a mistake
Brownhill - 6. Sits too deep with Westwood alongside and he isn't calm and doesn't have the technique for that
Cornet - 8. Super today, goal, assist and a few other moments
Rodriguez - 8. Brilliant second half
Weghorst - 6. Needs Cork back in fast, high balls not his thing

Lowton - 7. Steadied the ship
Vydra - 8. Missed him badly I thought

Credit to Dyche for three changes all scoring but not selecting Cork could have been a critical mistake and he got very lucky. Don’t make it again Sean, you won't get lucky twice.

We let Everton back in despite them doing nothing like we have done so many times, but they were worse at it than we are, their defenders weren’t as good. When push comes to shove we have similar forward quality but I feel our central defenders are far better and today that was decisive.

Southgate should have been there tonight.

To see his Number 1 keeper let three goals in and his Number 1 Centre Half put in a World Class performance!

Any mark over 4 for wout wasn’t at the same game I was at tonight .That was a Nimini Aston Villa performance.
Vydra won more headers in 10 mins and he s 5 foot shorter !
Think we ve been had with that signing
Yep and I m the one who likened him to Nathan peel as well and I m probably doing Nathan a disservice.
Still what a result can t wait for Sunday UTC
PS anyone found a bank card tonight it might be mine

I'll second that, with the addition of trying to get the ball to Weghorst's feet, rather than head

The result was the only thing that mattered tonight and we showed guts and determination to get this one over the line. Dig deeper though and the fact that we came back to win from being behind should hopefully give us some confidence. We are missing Mee at the back though for his composure on and off the ball. Collins is being fast tracked to be a Premier League CB and there were some nervous moments with him and Roberts being repeatedly exposed by Richarlison. Lowton needs to start on Sunday. That would be the only change I would make.

Pope 7
Roberts 5 thought he really really struggled tonight
Tarks 9 absolute man mountain and my man of the match. His involvement in second goal was top class.
Collins 7
Taylor 8 top quality assist - need this more often from him.
Cornet 8
Westwood 6
Brownhill 5
Lennon 6
Weghorst 4 everything went wrong for him tonight. Time for Vydra to start in his place.
Jay 7

Vydra 7 probably not on long enough but what a contribution.

Fans 10 - best atmosphere since the boro game. I think my dad nearly had a heart attack when that goal went in.

I thought Pickford showed why he is number 1 with some outstanding passing, while Pope’s distribution was once again all over the place. Not much either could do with any of the concede goals.

I agree on Pickford I thought he had a good game and his distribution was really good.

However Ralph is spot on about Tarks, that was a top CB performance from him tonight. In my opinion he kept us in the game and his quality on the ball opened up the chance for the second goal.

Agree, Tarks was very good. Arguably the best I’ve seen him at LCB. He also played an indirect hand in the third with an excellent outside of the foot ball in behind their defence which Vydra chased down to win a throw in.

Pope - 6 - One really good save, some dodgy moments and poor kicking
Roberts - 5 - Poor last night. Looked a bit slow in his decision making
Taylor - 7 - Gets a few extra marks for his parts in the goals but defensively he wasn't at it
Collins - 7 - 1 heart in the mouth moment but played well generally, help by the man next to him
Tarks - 10 MOM - Faultless and the wing play for the 2nd, brilliant. Better than any of our midfielders.
Westwood - 5 - game past him, poor use of the ball and WTF for penalty no.1
Brownhill - 6 - better use of the ball than Westwood but only marginally. At least he went forward
Lennon - 6 - Tried to put us on the front foot and dared to take his man on. Poor end product and poor tracking back which lead to a silly challenge for penalty no.2
Cornet - 8 - Like Lennon but with an end product and with the tracking back. Best work rate I've seen from him since his arrival.
Weghorst - 6 - Feel sorry for him. These aimless balls from full back to front man are useless. I'm struggling to think of any striker that could deal with those balls into/up to him. When it was to feet/chest he showed his quality.
Jay Rod - 7 - Exactly the same as Weghorst but with a goal after we played a bit of football.

Lowton - 7 - improved that area of the pitch defensively. Some nice thinking off a quick free kick which nearly paid off.
Vyd's - not on long enough but brilliant awareness for the 3rd, superb energy. Him, Jay Rod & Weghorst would be a handful of a front 3 IF we played football, not hoofball with Cornet as an option as well.

We played some fast flowing football 3 times and 3 times it lead to a goal. It's not rocket science Dyche & co.

Agreed, although I think Ramsdale is a better keeper, than Pickford Pope is nowhere near the quality of those 2. None of our goals were down to Pickford and his distribution is fantastic.

Pope 5 - thought he was a bit iffy tonight; punching and catching below his usual standard. 1 top save though
Roberts 4 - difficult game against Richarlison who was clearly up for it after the pens, but was too easily beaten too often
Tarks 8 - top performance defensively and made good blocks, but over indulged in inappropriate passes to Collins. Excellent work to set up Taylor in the lead up to the equaliser
Collins 7 - rock solid and the added bonus of the goal
Taylor 6 - on balance a decent performance and a good assist, but 2 rank bad efforts on goal
Cornet 8 looked sharp upfront and did good work defensively. Wants a bit too much time on the ball in midfield, but invariably his efforts on goal are on target, and another goal to his tally. Did well to pick out the unmarked Collins for the opener ;)
Brownhill 6- does what he does well - intercepts, and has a good engine
Westwood 5 - moderate tonight and not too impressed with the chipped balls into the channels which too often were just giving the ball away
Lennon 7 - worked his socks off and provided good help for the fullback but was clearly knackered by the the time he was substituted
Weghourst 5 - not a goal threat
Jay 8 - lively and intelligent play tonight. Vocal and demanding when we were behind

Subs
Vydra 7 - lively when he came on and took advantage of poor defensive play to set up the winner
Lowton 7 - effective. Took a card for the team in reducing Richarlison's impact on the game
McNeil - 6 - did what he's supposed to do, so one of his better recent game ;)

Pope 7
Roberts 3 - Most of the posters on here could have put in a better shift. Can't remember the last time I've seen a RB look as lost as he was in the second half. All over the place.
Collins 6 - Took his goal well, few mistakes here and there.
Tarkowski 9 - At his best.
Taylor 7 - Started to show the attacking threat again that makes him first choice
Lennon 7 - Industrious, unlucky for the penalty
Brownhill 6 - Barely noticed him
Westwood 5 - Awful positioning for the penalty, I'd be playing Cork.
Cornet 9 MoM - Great performance, workrate was first class. Can't remember seeing him track back and do the defensive work so well before.
Weghorst 6 - We still aren't playing to his strengths. Collins should have found him when he hit the side netting.
Rodriguez 7 - Passionate performance, took his goal well.

Pope 6-felt the ocassion got to him at times
Roberts 5-maybe his worst performance so far
Tarks-9, great defensive performance, particularly for his reading of trouble
Collins-8 (one for the goal)
Taylor -7 great assist, this is what we've been missing. Getting to thge by line and cutting it back
Lennon-6, the guy always gives 100%
Westwood-6, silly to give the penalty and he still insists on hitting that first time ball down the channels
Brownhill-6, I think the early booking took the sting and bite out of his game
Cornet -8, back to his best. Some classy touches and some good covering when needed
Jay-7 a very intelligent game and a well taken goal. Needs to stay in the team
Weghorst -6. Cant make out if the rest of the team cant read what hes about to do, or whether the PL is too much for him. Would rest him v Watford and try Jay & Vydra

Lowton-7, a good substitution by SD.Needed to happen as Everton were starting to exploit us that side , mainly through Richalison
