Grand National- who you picking?

Post by Quickenthetempo » Fri Apr 08, 2022 9:56 pm

Who's everyone's pound going on tomorrow?

Looks like Minella Times will go off favourite with Rachel Blackmore. The housewives will probably pile on it tomorrow morning.

I fancied Delta Work after his brilliant win against Tiger Roll at Cheltenham but his price is on the drift.

I've gone for Minella Times in the NAP league, bur top weight could be an issue to overcome, Delta Work could well shorten on the day as punters pile on.

I had my biggest win ever. Using bet 365's offer I had £75 ew on Delta Force and and £50 ew on Noble Yeats. Took them at 7/1 and 28/1 respectively but they paid out at starting prices so I've made just over £3000 profit. That's a holiday and some work on the house paid for. Celebrating with a lovely bottle of red.

Good win but you got done by the odds on that. I had £2 ew with Noble Yeats at 50/1 on Bet365. No idea why it was so low for you.

Thanks folks. It's a shame Burnley couldn't top the weekend off for us.

You must be a serious punter. That was a £250 outlay on your two bets. Well done though.

Not really. I'm a profitable gambler but generally only stake between £2 and £20 unless I have any real insight.

Bet 365 run a promotion on the Grand National every year. You get half your stakes back as cash for any ew bets placed upto a maximum of £125 in refunds. I don't bet in those amounts but I always take advantage of that offer as it represents excellent value for money. I've won good money in 3 of the last 5 years using this promotion in different ways and broke even in one of the unprofitable years.

One year I picked a horse and had £125 ew - got half my stake returned then went on Betfair Exchange and layed off the win part of my bet. This meant I effectively had a free £125 bet on my selection to place. Pleasingly it did and I made almost £400.

On another occasion I backed about 9 horses for various amounts. Had loads of chances in the race and one or two placing is normally gonna recoup most of my outlay. If one wins and a couple place it's an excellent return.

This year a very well connected friend tipped the two horses to me. I decided to put everything on those two and have a chance to win big since his insight is far better than my own ability to pick em. Seemed counter intuitive to pick several when I'd been given two from the real guru.

Makes sense now thanks. I got the same offer from Bet 365 but I don’t back horses as I know very little about them. Well done to you, enjoy your winnings.

Thanks v much. Pumping most straight into some essential work on the house but definitely keeping some for aside for a holiday.

You'll have to contact my legal representatives.
I believe there are certain exclusion clauses that cover every eventuality.
