Yes £600+ every 4 weeks is not to be sniffed at but you have paid for this in a lifetime’s NI contributions. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Boris Johnson, his government has just removed the pensions triple lock thereby negating a Cameron promise.

Last year I took out my first pension payment in cash, threw the notes on the bed and just rolled in that lovely money.

Enjoy one of the lowest state pensions in Europe. Its already been eaten away by rampant inflation and let's not forget the government reneging on the triple lock promise.

Don't forget the other benefits of being an old fart - your £200 heating allowance, bus pass, the £10 bonus and, wait for it, the continued opportunity to submit faeces samples to check if you have bowel cancer. Plus if you look old too, some people offer you their seats on the bus.

The only thing that annoys me about my pension is that it is now classed as a benefit. No its f###ing not a benefit, it is a gvt run pension scheme that I've paid into for 50 years. My personal pensions are not benefits so why is my old age pension now classed as a benefit?

Even if you've haven't done a days work in your life you are guaranteed the following amount per week once you hit pension age:

Single people: £182.60
Couple: £278.70

As I said, you don't have to have done a single day of work for to win this jackpot. All you have to do is be of pensionable age.

It's one of the most generous rates in the known universe, never mind Europe

The thanks I gave to Boris was tongue in cheek Cleggy,my wife is only 62 and we really should be on double bubble pension, but the Cameron/Clegg partnership stole 6 years pension money off her...which when you think about it is a crime, I'll be 70 before I have the luxury of a double bubble state pension....thank god for private pensions or me and the wife would probably have to work till we were almost dead.

Household bills and expenses are continuing to rise. People are struggling financially. Some people are choosing between food and heating and there are more homeless people in the UK now than ever and some clown decides to come on a football message board bragging about large sums of money and going shopping. have some respect for others out there please in these hard times and just keep some things to yourself.

getting abuse from an insecure pensioner. remember young people also read this message board so stop the obscene language. at your age you would think you would know better.
