That's exactly what I said to myself here watching the game on a stream.

He's a genuinely world class keeper.
Ball playing ability be damned, if England want to see out results when it matters, they need the keeper best at keeping the ball out. That has to be Nick for me.

Outstanding again, I can see him at West Ham next season if we drop. He's far too good for the Championship, deserves to be in the top flight (hopefully with us)

I always thought of Nick as a goalstopper with his feet but after that fantastic performance I now see him as much more than that!

That performance has just added £10 million to his move to Newcastle, West Ham, Spurs, Fulham, take your pick.

Nick seems to have immense determination for Burnley to avoid the drop-hopefully Southgate will see the saves. He also played a blinder at home v West Ham, with Declan Rice saying what an incredible stopper he is

No doubt he'll be aware.
Pity he's at Wembley.

That save from Diop was world class. The stadium couldn’t believe it hadn’t gone in. The reaction from Soucek who made a comment to Pope too showed how good it was. If he was better with his feet he’d play for a top 6 club and be englands number 1.

He is the best goalkeeper England have. No doubt. No arguments. But, Dullgate wants his keeper to play with his feet as well, and to be fair, the T - Rex did look good in that respect the other night at the Turf. As yet, T -Rex hasn’t let England down, but there is a big mistake in him, without doubt, and it will cost the 3 Lions soon. Surely the keepers’ main task is to keep the ball out of the net. Fact. Therefore Pope is the better.
