A well earned bender (if it even has been that) and I’m sure with his family’s blessing.

Billy Mercer was in tears at the ground on Friday when he was told the news , Dyche said to be stony faced and silent, Woan broke the news to ground staff

Hopefully Dyche is enjoying himself and reflecting on the many many achievements at our club.

Theories that he is part of a plot seem way off the mark at this stage , saddened that he would be treated so badly to the point of crying

I'm not bothered that he has gone on a weekend bender but am a little surprised he hasn't gone home to see the wife and family after 10 years of living away from home.

Woans daughter posted on twitter that Dyche was sat in their garden on Friday I think. Let's just hope his commitment to Burnley hasn't cost him his marriage.
Quite frankly couldn’t give a toss about his marriage, Christ anyone would think you were his wife. He’s NOTHING to do with Burnley any more, and it’s Burnley that interests me.

Shame he couldn't spare 10 minutes for a pint in the Prinny royal after they renamed it in honour of him.

Pope's comments

But the focus post-match quickly turned to the surprise dismissal of Dyche on Friday. Pope admitted that the decision came as a shock to everyone.

He told BBC Sport: “Normally you see rumours about these sorts of things. No one knew it was going on.”

"The lads are willing to fight for the shirt and everyone loves playing for this football club.”

… and if it comes out there was a serious breech of Club discipline/loyalty that led to the sacking are you going to continue to gush over our former manager?

Are you for real?

I was 50/50 on Dyche as our manager, shocked at the timing of his sacking mind.

He gave us nearly 10 years service so I will wish him well.

And I will wait to hear officially why such action was taken before wishing him anything.

Not at all the case Dande. I don’t know what I wish him - as for being anti-Dyche I’d hope you’d know me better - I suggest you look at my post history, I have been particularly supportive during his stay - I’d just rather know why he left. I had complete respect for him as our manager (though I did not take to him as a person much after he settled in) - he is not our manager any more. I support Burnley football club and until I know why he left I feel no obligation what-so-ever to him, or know whether I wish him well of ill.

Stating that you don’t care about his marriage, because he’s now left Burnley just feels like a pretty narrow outlook, and doesn’t smack of neutrality, that’s all I’m saying.

I got a WhatsApp saying Alan Pace had fallen asleep and the management team were playing buckaroo, putting stuff on him. When he woke up the stuff fell on him, including a purple
Dildo, and he went mad and sacked them all.

Just the truth… in all honesty will you be checking his marriage is ok on the final day of the season? He was manager he’s not now, I’ll worry about Burnley - concentrate on things that matter, we’ll find out what’s happened later and then can decide what I think of SD leaving and what I think of it. They could of all have been ****** and been caught peeing on the trophy cabinet for all we know, is ALL I am saying.

There are many, many apps & sites which let you fake text messages. I'm not sure Dyche is quite that much of a Ternent.

I’ve been informed by somebody very well connected (as close to the horses mouth as you can get, in fact), that Malcolm Jenkins insisted upon the immediate removal of Sean Dyche or he was pulling his sizeable investment immediately.

In all honesty I wouldn’t be overly surprised given the tiny amount of information (from reliable sources) if it was related to bullying of some kind; not necessarily Dyche, but he may have refused to discipline the miscreant; but again, we just don’t know.

She confirmed Dyche was sat in HIS garden with his family. Presumably Woan and family were also invited....

There was no bullying, no plan to go to Everton, no disloyalty, no other conspiracy theory, he got sacked and the timing felt bad. We will bring in some new players spending the money that was always available and crack on.

Highly unlikely now. The fact that the settlement is being negotiated leads me to the thinking there’s a NDA being written up. Doubt we will ever find out what’s gone on.

Reads like the opposite of a player mutiny to me and like it was a case of ALK having one vision, changing things, Dyche resisting and unlike with Garlick, ALK said no and sacked him.

I'm sure others will read it differently and I might be biased by my existing views on the situation but doesn't sound like they were hammering on Alan's door to have him chucked.

What are they going to say in a public interview?

‘Yeah we were sick of 4-4-2 hoofball every week with the manager continuing to select his favourites so we grouped together and forced the most successful manager in the clubs history out the door’

And there we go. Absence of evidence is now also evidence. Players sounding shocked, saying it doesn't feel right with him not there, and that they need to take the responsibility given the performances, still means they secretly mutinied.

What would they have to say to stop you always pushing a version which makes ALK either the good guys or caught in the middle? You make ALK out as the good guys at every turn from the January window to now. I gave them a chance in January, I've been very critical since but I put forward reasons why with evidence. You mostly act on faith or hearsay.

So let me ask, and I mean this sincerely to try understand your thought process- what about that statement suggests to you they are in any way relieved? I'm genuinely curious how you keep interpreting everything to fit this. I've offered how I interpret it the way I do, your turn.

Lowts comes across as he is not comfortable talking about it. He’s usually good in interviews.
