Collins
This lad is the dogs Balearic's, and he's going to be top notch.
Okay he went a little bit of a walkabout and missed his challenge on the halfway line at one point, but on 90-ish minutes he kept up with Antonio for pace and took the ball off him.
Still plenty of time to develop, but he looks like a modern day centre back who's not afraid to get stuck in either.
I think he's superb.

Agree, been an excellent signing and looks an outstanding prospect.

He's a great player. At times he can be a bit wobbly but he's been thrown in at the deep end and coping well.

Re: Collins
I've said it before but I think he'll be like Michael Keane was for us in that 15-16 Championship season.
Collins, just like Keane did, needs to develop a bit more upper body strength and a better ability to read the game, and when he does he'll be a top player no doubt.

Re: Collins
This fella is f***ing brilliant, no two ways about it.
Forget his goal, he's just brilliant and is/will be the best centre back out of the lot over the last 10/15 year period.

He’s got a cool head for a youngster. Hopefully we can get Mee signed as I think they’d be a cracking partnership.

Re: Collins
He's better than Maguire, Mings etc already. He is going to be immense for us next season; god knows how good he will be in a couple of seasons.
Re: Collins
He’s growing in each and every game, not just in his performances but in his confidence and communication. Top quality performance tonight.
We’ve been blessed with some really, really good centre halves over the last decade or so.

Re: Collins
He has come into his own since BM injury .
I do think Ben Mee is showing another of his strengths by helping to prepare the team.

utter class and with pure determination to boot. Always encourages others, celebrates last ditch tackles like a goal. Bargain

Re: Collins
He's been brilliant last two games. Simply brilliant.
Re: Collins
He'll go right to the very top imo, has the pace required to play at that level.
Re: Collins
Outstanding player who should never be dropped
Re: Collins
Brilliant displays, brilliant player. Shows himself to be a well-grounded lad, eager to learn from Tarky and Mee. Legs, hearts, minds. Collins seems to embody our passion.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 4:14 pmutter class and with pure determination to boot. Always encourages others, celebrates last ditch tackles like a goal. Re: Collins
Don't forget Coady, regular England squad member, who was the worst centre half on the pitch today. (Incl when Kev Long came on.)Vino blanco wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:56 pmHe's better than Maguire, Mings etc already. Re: Collins
We’ve been fortunate to have seen some brilliant centre halves at the club in recent years and this young man could well turn out to be the best of them.

Re: Collins
Thought Collins was outstanding today
Re: Collins
Another reason Dyche was sacked and lost the belief of the players was how he couldn't wait to drop Collins imo, same situation with Cork.
Re: Collins
He's been brilliant and he is going to be a huge player for us. Right though that he has been behind Tarkowski and Mee.
Re: Collins
I see in Collins just how Tarks was with Ben and Keano ... biding his time ... fantastic player full of commitment when he has played ...
Gotta love him

Re: Collins
A lot of credit to Mee and Tarkowski, who guide Long and Collins.
Collins has been immense and is a very able footballer.
I also wonder if Tarkowski is having 2nd thoughts, now there is more fluent play.
