Today's Footy
Boro 0 Hudds 1 HT.
At three, its Rovers v Stoke, Lashers v Brum and later,
Forest against West Brom.
Bolton v Accy Stanley in League 1, Plymouth v Sunderland looks tasty in that League.

Re: Today's Footy
Very professional performance so far from Udders.
Re: Today's Footy
Boro are very poor, especially in the final 3rd.
Re: Today's Footy
Huddersfield have impressed me this season, no real super stars, not spent much, a bunch of mis fits really.
Their manager is doing a sterling job, won lots of games to nil, think they've got the record of clean sheets in the league.
Young coach (39) first job, and his doing well, wouldn't mind him being on our shortlist.
Edit - just gone 2-0 up.
Seems boro have got the jitters at the wrong time, if it stays like this it'll ne no goal or win in 4.

Middlesbrough looked slow, clueless and lightweight at the back and toothless upfront

Apart from O’Brien and Sorba Thomas I don’t think they have too much quality in that team. Looks like a great up and coming manager

For anybody that played before the noughties take a gander at the pitch for Plymouth v Sunderland and weep. Third tier in April, fabulous.

Stoke goalkeeper has just done a superb save to keep out the equaliser. Such a shame

Not just yet, Readings goal difference is shocking.
If Reading win then yes Derby gone
I stand corrected, the table hadn't updated

Feel for their fans but so glad Derby have gone down. The EFL have protected them for far too long.

South Shields lose in last minute to Whitby.
Buxton beat Matlock.
Take a 12 goal swing in the final game to stop my local lot winning the league, and go up into National League North.

Re: Today's Footy
Blades go behind. Yet another club that got the 6 game bounce from a new manager and are going back to their level. Wilder did the same at Boro.
Hope we get it but we need a manager first.

Re: Today's Footy
Good to see, but they are still only 3 points shy of the play-off's, despite their horrendous run of form, so too early to get the bunting out yet.
One saving grace in our current plight has been witnessing Rovers falling from their lofty perch at Christmas too likely now miss out on the top 6 altogether.

Re: Today's Footy
Blackpool won 6-1 today I note, they'll do well to hold onto Critchley over the summer.
A big win for Joey's Bristol Rovers 3-1 at Port Vale which puts them bang in the mix for an automatic promotion place.

Wouldn't it be good and perfect justice if they missed out on the P/Offs by one goal in the 96th minute of the last day ...tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 7:33 pmGood to see, but they are still only 3 points shy of the play-off's, despite their horrendous run of form, so too early to get the bunting out yet.

The joy in thinking of all those gurning simpletons weeping into their pot noodle cartons and necking White Lightning to find oblivion

Absolutely no way there were 30,000 there. I've just watched the Sky Sports highlights, and the place was half empty.maidenover wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 8:16 pm30,528 in attendance at Ewood today. Such a shame that all but the Darwen end went home grumbling
I don't know who released the crowd figures to the press, presumably the club, but there's been a typo somewhere.

Cooper has to be a contender for Manager of the Year. Incredible turnaround and they play some really good stuff

Re: Today's Footy
He should certainly win Championship manager of the year, Forest were bottom when he took over, and in a right old pickle, now he's got them an almost guaranteed PO berth, and given they still have to play Bournemouth an outside shot at automatic.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 8:49 pmCooper has to be a contender for Manager of the Year. And all without spending any money as far as I'm aware, just shows that you don't always have to simply throw money at building a decent side.
