There’s no doubt you are correct, however it takes 2 to tango and there is certain people who hold opposing views who think nothing of shouting down people who don’t follow their narrative.

It’s only human nature to throw it back again.

Nervy at times but a fantastic display of resolve throughout. Hopefully Liverpool do the job later and we can go to Watford with the tails up.

I think we need to steady ourselves a bit after the removal of the old regime. They did wonderful things for this football club. Now it's 'Dinosaur Dyche' and 'wage stealers'. Have a bit of respect for the times that these people who gave us. Times we thought we would never see.

As for the reaction on the pitch, nobody can argue with it.

Exactly. Show some ******* class.

It's looking like it might just come off for us but Pace has been really lucky there. If he truly thought Dyche was poor why give him a 4 year deal and why wait so long to pot him. The tine to do it on the back of performances and results was following g Huddersfield. Since then our form has been much better

I was really unhappy with the way we parted ways with Sean Dyche and his staff but you have to give credit where it’s due - Mike Jackson and the players have been incredible since he was handed the reins.

Unfortunately you’re preaching to people who enjoy calling Sean Dyche (two promotions, Europe, 6 seasons in Premier League Sean Dyche) ‘Douche’, and get more fulfilment following a terrific result in acting like a 7 year old on a messageboard.

Easier to ignore, and simply raise a pint to a terrific result, renewed optimism and be grudgingly doff-cappy to Alan Pace for making a decision I would never have done which is thankfully, so far, massively paying off.

Nonsense, our football has been crap under Dyche for 18 months. His departure and the new managememt has allowed us to play more attacking, possession football with the ball on the deck. Look at the performances and the POINTS we have won.

To the ones disrespecting Sean, absolutely give your head a wobble. Genius for us.

As for todays game. Absolutely brilliant stuff in the second half. Josh Brownhill was brilliant and probably the pick of the team for me. Some of those tackles flying in were fantastic. Great stuff.

Exactly my point the other week. I’ll be honest I wanted Dyche out and feel it’s a positive he has gone but people have to appreciate the outstanding achievements he did have in his time here, there’s a fine balance to it.

Possibly but possibly not (as I've said our recent home form has been pretty good). But I didn't think we would do so well as we have done after Norwich where it looked like we had run out of ideas against a pretty poor side who got a flukey goal and then had something to defend.

Everton will be on 29 after today with 6 to play, and they simply can't buy a result away from home, so I struggle to see them getting anywhere near 40 points.

And Leeds might also struggle to get near that mark.

Players looked confident today though and wolves were a lot tougher than Southampton who pretty much gave up for mostnofbthe first half.

For once we have had a bit of luck - better to have the Saints up first and the fact that in our nervy start they missed their best chance of the game and we scored kind of out of nowhere.
Pretty much where I'm at- life commitments got in the way which meant I missed today's game so only saw the (brilliant) result.

So far, the (massive) gamble seems to be paying off. This doesn't make it less of a gamble, but it does mean that if we survive, you'd call the decision to sack Dyche a good decision. Whether or not it's the 'correct' decision, is harder to say because that implies certainty that we wouldn't have achieved equivalent results and survived under Dyche- however even if we did survive under Dyche we certainly wouldn't have done it via the same tactics/playstyle as currently.

The decision does seem to have brought renewed life and energy into the players, in particular McNeil & Roberts. Historically, we tend to have a new manager bounce/interim manager bounce, but that's going off an entirely different era where there wasn't a team entirely moulded by 1 manager.

I felt before Southampton and Wolves that both games were winnable in theory- home games, against an inconsistent club and a club we have a great record against the past few years, are exactly the sort of game you think you can win. I'll also admit that I didn't think this meant we WOULD win, and following Norwich if you'd asked me, I'd have probably had the same reaction ie. we can win them, but I'm not confident that we will. I wasn't confident going into Southampton, following that game I was more confident going into Wolves- so I guess that represents an improvement. And the way we successfully rode our luck the first 10 minutes against Southampton could have been massive in this regard, or it could have just been a ten minute nervous spell.

At the moment however Pace's call is working. I'm happy to say that, and hope my fears that it was too great a risk or would assure relegation are wrong. If we still go down, it reverts to a bad decision. If we survive, good decision. If we keep winning home, drawing away, you'd fancy we survive, so after 3 games without Dyche, it looks like a good decision. i hope it continues to be one.

I absolutely didn't want Dyche out, but I can't argue things have bucked up since he went. Maybe coincidence, I don't know, but a really tough call for Pace and whatever you think right now, we'll see in another few weeks if it was a masterstroke and he got it right (or not!)

I have never posted any remarks regarding Sean Dyches methods or our position, me posting would never alter anything I read digs here and digs there but the bottom line is we see what we are seeing now and hopefully we survive and then call judgement if needed. UTC

No way do we need 40 points.
I think we need 40 and 40 may even drop. Everton will certainly pick up they are fighting now. Beat today but they are scrapping.

Personally I don't see how replacing Dyche was a gamble, performances and results couldn't really get worse, was a win win really, we could only get better with him gone. Big game at Watford next up, I don't see us putting in a performance like we did at Norwich.

I think it has to be seen as a good decision whatever the final outcome. It's changed the whole mood and made people realise that no person is bigger than the club
