Re: Brownhill celebration
When we see that celebration, makes me think we aren’t letting this go now. Beat Villa next week, I think Everton and Leeds will mentally struggle. May turn out that will be enough.

Re: Brownhill celebration
The only worry I had was remembering them saying that when Arfield scored with all the Burnley players in our own half celebrating the opposition had a right to kick-off straight away. Was a little worried we might end up in a similar situation.

Remember the Arfield winner against Everton? Bamford stayed in their half pretending to tie his laces just to avoid that. Weird the things you recall over time!

Josh Brownhill combines the ability of a Premier League footballer with the emotion of a fan - it's infectious and creates a tremendous bond between the players and the supporters
Great to have it back - feels like its been missing for a while

Not sure if that’s sarcasm as although he does walk away, he can be seen applauding the fans at the end with the rest of the team

Re: Brownhill celebration
A slight tangent but Brownhill's winner reminded me of Arfield's equaliser at Watford late on when we went up with Ings and Trippier in the squad

There was a small number of people who didn't rate him, wanted him sold, said he was a waste of time, was never going to make it in the PL etc and one or two have spent the last couple of years really tearing into him but that's because they couldn't see he was doing what was asked of him by his manager.
Those people have remained fairly quiet in their criticism of Brownhill these last few games though.

Re: Brownhill celebration
You've got some front considering your previous comments regarding fans who wanted a change of management. You called them every name under the sun. Turns out they were absolutely right. Selective memories indeed. If we'd followed your bleatings, we'd probably be relegated by now.Wile E Coyote wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 11:42 pmgreat game, great goal, and just a reminder, He was detested by virtually everyone on this board.
