And we decide to sell an ageing Graham Branch to Preston for £200k. He's done well for us, but £200k is too much to turn down for a player his age.

Amazingly, PNE employ Branchy as a midfield enforcer and he plays 60 odd games to help promote us to the Premier League for the first time, something we've got close to a few times but never achieved.

PNE then spend 8 of the next 13 seasons in the top flight while we bounce around between the Championship and League 1. We feel sick with envy.

Finally, in the season 21/22, it looks like they'll be coming back down to our level, only for John Deary to step up as caretaker manager and lead them to 10 points out of 12, putting them on the brink of safety.

This is how the PNE fans must feel. Spare a thought for them!
