Not my work but taken from the BBC forum, and it deserves to be seen on here in my view.

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of almost forty poor Everton years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal Everton’s doom
And though Everton try to fight to stay alive
All Everton fans bodies start to shiver
For no mere Everton mortal can resist
The evil of another Burnley thriller

Indeed. But an Everton win tomorrow will take a bit of the sheen off it. Let’s hope the perfect day extends to a perfect weekend.

On days such as this, I think of my late friend Tom Porter, who'd cheerfully place a £3 double every Saturday on Burnley to win and t'Rovers to lose, however unlikely the scenario ...

His face when we won 3-2 at Chelsea, and Rovers lost 0-3 at home to Doncaster in August 2017 was a joy to behold .... just under £90, I think !
