Leeds simply must lose their next 2 I think, and villa is another must win

No way Everton were ever going down with that run in. It is between us and Leeds. Two wins should do it, two wins and a draw definitely will.

Chelsea are a country mile off the top two. Ignore Everton and we just have to equal Leeds’s results.

So annoying that.

Everton legend as a co commentator. Cousin of Everton manager in the studio. Such a sense of entitlement coming from the media that Everton “belong”.

We knew this before of course but it doesn’t make it less annoying.

Chelsea weren’t bent of course as some suggested, they were on the beach with 3 easy home games and a cushion to get top 3 (assuming fourth has to qualify in an earlier round of CL still). They looked like they didn’t give a toss about winning. Plus they love Frankie of course so a bit of token huff and puff wouldn’t hurt.

We need to beat Villa at home now. Do that I think we’ll stay up with Leeds dropping in 2nd season syndrome, although we may still need something from Newcastle. Fail to beat Villa, I would fear for us.

Hoping for an Arsenal win now, would put them 4 points behind Chelsea - need Chelsea to turn up at Leeds next week

Absolutely delusional
Southampton only have 3 games left, Brentford a, Liverpool h and Leicester a.

They might not pick up another point and have a worse goal difference.

Anything can happen.

We knew it already but Villa next week is huge. I really don’t want it going to the last game and I think the only way that is the case is a win next weekend. 4 points you’d hope would be enough, but looking at the fixtures It
Wouldn’t be completely shocking if Leeds picked up 6 points and Everton won another 3.

Really frustrating today, similar to the Everton win over United.

Everton couldn’t win for toffee pardon the pun until our former manager facilitated in giving them the impetus/boost ever known to living man by pretty much publicly declaring there was dogga, apart from the expected derby defeat they haven’t looked back since.

Eventually, the pressure is going to tell on one of us

I hope our injury situation has improved for next weekend, and as the quicker we can get points on the board, the more pressure it puts on Leeds and Everton

Someone mentioned delusional. This is probably men in white coats stuff, but Newcastle (10th) have only 3 games left. City away and Arsenal at home, before they come to us. I can only see us losing at Spurs, but if we do, hopefully without too much damage to our gd. However, if we could beat AV twice, we could still catch Newcastle.

I know facts aren't your strong point Jakub, but that is total BS, their home form has been decent most of the season, and what our former manager was particularly referring to was their atrocious away form.

And if Everton do stay up it'll be pretty much due to their home form, because on the road they are dogga.

Spurs in form? They literally had 0 shots on target against Brentford and Brighton. They won today against a Leicester side that made 8 changes becasue they play Conference semi-final on Thursday. I'm not saying we'll get anything at Spurs, but they are definitely not "in form". Villa have been poor for some time and have nothing to play for.

That may be so but ordinarily would you expect 2 home wins against Chelsea & Manchester United no defeats maybe draws certainly not 2 wins, we aren’t talking about Norwich & Watford here we are talking about really good teams, Everton do have good home form but wouldn’t have been favourites for the home wins, careless talk imo partly served as a kick up the backside Everton didn’t need well not from us anyhow.

Looks to me like the ownership issue and big players leaving on frees is really effecting them

I've never seen Mount and James have such poor games, and I wonder if Tuchel decision to only change one player from the game on Thursday was a huge mistake because they did look leggy

But lets not take anything away from the two stunning saves Pickford made btw, without them Chelsea win that, despite being really poor

I couldn't contribute to this forum earlier because of my Referee rating from yesterday,............. but Reece-James going from one of the best crossers of a ball to the worst i've ever seen is mighty suspicious!
I'm not sure i completely buy the "Chelsea were on the beach" storyline either.....& don't get me started on Kevin Friend......UTC.

It was a bit of a nothing game for Chelsea tbf. They're out of Europe and pretty much guaranteed to finish 3rd. Everton simply wanted it more that's all.

Like yesterday, we have the advantage of playing first, so hopefully can once again open up a five point gap on them before their trip to Leicester.

Bit worried about the fact Rodgers made 8 changes today due to the European games. They play in Rome on Thursday. I thought the back to back games for Chelsea from Thurs - Sun showed today.

All we can do is try to open up the five point gap once again and see how they react.

The Leicester game is certainly not easy because despite them playing well at home they've taken two points from their last 14 away games.

Having been sat next to the recipient of a £1 coin from Mr Drogba some years ago will Richarlison receive a similar ban and if so would it be this season.

Really frustrating result but far play they dug it out and produced a big performance as we have recently. Leeds fans probably have cause to be more worried now.

Made me “laugh” when Richarlodson went down…..usual stuff…….Chelsea passed it side side ….ref waved play on…….and then Chelsea put the ball out so man on ground could get, of course lengthy treatment…..

If it mattered, Chelsea would have of course played on….

Not saying conspiracy but just a joke……..

Having said that……..it’s just up to us ………we can’t influence anything else……….

Everton

Southampton

West Ham

Yesterdays brilliant Clarets on the road……..

Grow up !! Burnley have to win or draw our own games. If we don't stay up it is not down to Everton or Leeds dropping points.. i was buzzing on the way home from Watford last night knowing we still have a chance. It is in our hands. UTC
Spot on. No point fretting about what the others are doing. We have to just concentrate on getting our business sorted starting with Villa on Saturday.
